1 1 Hi Everyone, Rally: Sunday, 25 May 20 DC REPORT SEVILLE PONY CLUB A lot of exciting things are happening around the Seville Pony Club at the moment! One of these is that we have introduced a new group to our colour groups, we now have Gold group. This is between Pink and Silver, so please check the rally groups this month as there have been a few changes to groups etc. JUNE RALLY: James Harvey, Equine Dentist, will be attending pony club at our June rally, Sunday 22 nd June. James attended pony club last year in April and if your horse s teeth haven t been done since then they are due now at the discounted rate of $55.00 per horse! Please let me know if you would like your horses teeth done so I can have an indication of numbers. Thanks - Melissa. At one stage, Seville Pony Club had fifteen members on our waiting list. Unfortunately, if you were on this waiting list it was taking a while to become a member! The committee researched a way that we may be able to offer a position to all our new members. A lot of meetings, research, phone calls etc have made for this to come to fruition. Thank you to Sandy Garland, Trish Kroeger and Di Harvey for all their time, input and assistance with making this possible. On behalf of all the committee, club members and new members we would also like to thank Black group for agreeing to a change in their structure so that this could be done. Black Group were very supportive of inviting new members to the club and making way for another group! YERINGBERG PCAV TEAMS HORSE TRIALS, SUNDAY, 18 th MAY 20 This event was held over the weekend. From what I hear the true Seville Pony Club spirit shone through on the day with everyone supporting each other! Thank you to Tracey Kerford who assisted as Team Manager and Anna Baker for assisting with co-ordinating the duties over the weekend and to the parents for assisting with the running of this event. Thank you to all our fantastic riders for representing Seville Pony Club we are very proud of your efforts and achievements!! Now is also the time to be thinking about if you would like to be a part of the Interzone Teams Horse Trials to be held on Saturday, 26 th and Sunday, 27 th July 20 at Yarrambat Pony Club for Grades 3 and 4 riders. You need to have qualified for this event.

2 2 PCAV Horse Trials State Championships at Riddells Creek Pony Club, Saturday, 3 rd and Sunday, 4 th May 20 Well done to our Grade 1 and 2 riders who recently competed at the PCAV State Horse Trials at Riddells Creek on Saturday, 3 rd and Sunday, 4 th May They all rode magnificently and came 4 th and 5 th place respectively. Thank you to Tracey Kerford who assisted with the teams also. From our Seville Pony Club website.. Final Results PCAV State Horse Trials 20 Seville Maroon Team 4th and Seville White Team 5th Grade 1 - Maddison Clark 15th and Alice Embry 19th Grade 2 Section D - Anna Church 1st and Rachel Collins 9th Grade 2 Section A - Ellie Symes 6th and Laura Eggleston 18th Grade 2 Section B - Megan Deans 8th, Marlee Carter 12th, India Ambler th and Emily Tyrrell 21st. Our riders represented Seville beautifully showing great team spirit in all situations both on and off the competition arena and were all a wonderful support to each other which made the ground crew very proud indeed. They all rode exceptionally well in what was at times quite testing conditions. Well done girls! We are all so proud of you! I know 'Team Seville' would love me to offer special thanks on their behalf to all the parents, helpers and supporters that made the trip to Riddells Creek to support them (despite the weather) and help make it a fantastic experience. Green and Silver groups are on Grounds set up for this rally and just a reminder that everyone is to be on grounds pack up in the afternoon. Many hands make light work!! Seville Pony Club Junior Committee The Seville Pony Club Junior Committee have been doing a wonderful job the last few months. There are some more plans in the pipeworks they have just been a bit busy with Tintern and Wandin Park Horse Trials. The Junior Committee would like our riders to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation and dress in something Pink at the May rally and offer your support by a gold

3 3 coin donation. This is a fantastic initiative on their behalf!! All proceeds made on the day will be sent to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Tintern Horse Trials, Saturday 26 th and Sunday, 27 th April So many of our Club members competed at Tintern Horse Trials held recently and did extremely well. Congratulations to our following members who either won or placed on the day. It is a feat within itself to win a horse trials competition, let alone two which Amber Shiel-Jones managed to do over that weekend winning a grade 2 section on Bundy and winning a grade 3 section on Hopeless Romantic!! 4 4 Grading Requests Please submit your grading request on the Wednesday prior to the rally to Seville Pony Club Photograph to be held at our May Rally PLEASE REMEMBER that the club photo will be held at the May rally. The photo will cost $5.00 and this money will go towards fundraising for the Club. Please fill in the order form at end of DC Report and bring to this rally or next rally to order the photo. Eventing Clinic, Saturday th June 20 Lilydale & District Horse and Pony Club are holding an Eventing Clinic for PCAV Grades 1-4 riders on Saturday th June at Yarra Glen & Lilydale Hunt Club, Melba Highway, Yering with fantastic instructors Edith Kane, Emily Anker and Paul Brent. Entries for this clinic close on Monday, 9 th June unless full prior. Please note that you need the DC s signature if you want to attend so please make sure you see me at this rally to sign your form. OUT AND ABOUT: Chloe Tan Sing and Welshy Congratulations to Chloe Tan Sing and Welshy who recently competed at the St Andrews Dressage Day. It was Chloe and Welshy s first competition after having a long break due to Welshy s injury. They did extremely well on the day to compete in the preliminary dressage section to receive 1 st and 2 nd place on the day becoming 2 nd overall for dressage jackpot. What an awesome achievement and effort! Chloe and Welshy also recently competed at the Interschool Dressage Championships on Saturday, 10 th May with some more outstanding results:

5 5 3rd, 70%; 1st, 82% 1st dressage jackpot winner Hanna Millott and Staccato Beat I have also heard on the grapevine about a young lady who goes under the radar quite a lot. This young lady is Hanna Millott. Hanna has been competing a lot in the EA circles and is doing extremely well. I have been told in one of her tests she recently competed in she achieved eleven 10 s and the test was absolutely beautiful to watch!! Hanna is extremely dedicated and has worked extremely hard with achieving all her success in what was a very challenging horse from the beginning to the champion he is today well done Hanna! Lilydale Horse Gear Market Sunday, 1 st June Horse Gear Market to be held at Jean Eales Pavillion, Lilydale Show Grounds between 12.00pm and 4.00pm.
