Too many families leave early and unfortunately there is a small number of people that are left to pack up everything. It is only 10 minutes of your time and allows everyone to leave earlier. Diamond has a fantastic temperament and natural rhythm making him a dream child s pony. He has basic flatwork, and confidently jumps 60cm, he is great hacking out, on roads alone or in company. Some of our mbrs attend early at 6.00pm to enjoy a lovely meal before the meeting. We always look forward to our members attending. 5 MEMBERS RESULTS Anna Gurnett was very successful at the PC State Dressage Champs Which were held on the 05/03 Anna won the Individual Grade 2 championship & Grade 2 Team First Place. Both Grade 2 and Grade 3 winning teams were from Central Zone. Massive Congratulation s to Anna & Tash on their impressive results Georgia & Jordan attended the Bacchus Marsh Horse trials on the 20/03 both girls did a super job and took home top placing s Jordan placed 2 nd & Georgia placed 3rd Well done to both girls for their awesome efforts P a g e 5 13

6 MEMBERS RESULTS Georgia and King competed at Moomba Showjumping and placed 5 th, awesome Job team Charleigh-anne and her new pony Sunny had their first show at Broadford P/C gymkhana on the 20/03 They weren t expecting much but just to have a positive day being a new combination however they went home winning the JNR PONY CLUB HIGHPOINT WINNERS Massive Congratulations to the C Certificate girls you all did an amazing job the hard work and study over the last few months was well worth it all our mbrs passed P a g e 6 13

7 NEXT RALLY MARCH 27 TH Duty Coordinator: Bende Zoega Families on Duty:s Robertson & Mason D/C REPORT ~ FEBRUARY 2016 Today saw our little club expand that little bit more with the introduction of a 6 th group. The disappointing part is members are not always letting me know their attendance. The club then pays for 6 instructors when I could possibly have condensed groups to even out numbers and reduce instructor fees. I reminded all members present at the lunch time meeting to please not forget to let me know if they re NOT attending We had 25 members attend our rally with Emily Burton U/M. 5 Come and Try participants made a total of 29 riders. Our no s for the day should have been 35, however 5 members did not let me know they were coming. A further 3 let me know after the newsletter had been distributed. These no s are not including Laine Dickson who had a fall the day before and dislocated her elbow. It was decided at the last committee meeting to start our rally early in case of extreme heat. In past years February has often been very hot for our rally. All instructors were happy to start early so the earlier program went ahead. Feedback I received about the earlier start from different members was that it was too early and they missed the nachos for lunch in the canteen. The only problem on the day was our instructor Bianca Henderson forgot about the early start (even though I had already asked and sent a reminder with the rally plan). Bianca was most apologetic and arrived late to coach the riders for the afternoon classes. Kerry Blackley kindly stepped in and taught Bianca s first 2 sessions. All members seemed to enjoy their day and the rally plan. There were approx. 4 falls for the day. The AGM at the end of rally ran well with all positions filled. I welcome the new committee. The Junior Committee also approached me about possibly introducing team hoodie jumpers available for purchase by regular competitors. Maybe the junior committee could organize a fundraiser to purchase proposed jumpers? I have organized some future instructors to widen our ridden activities. Next rally will see Wayne Hirst attend who has ridden with the mounted police. He will be teaching our kids about drill riding. We will also be having Leanne Le Clair attend later in the year to teach us about polo cross. Any feed back again good or bad is muchly appreciated. Cheers Bec P a g e 7 13

Whittlesea Horse & Pony Club Inc. is a smoke free club and does not permit smoking on our club grounds during an official Pony Club rally. Please refrain from smoking on our grounds during rally times HORSE MANURE The Agricultural Society have requested that no horse manure is to be placed around the trees planted on our grounds. The manure causes more harm than good to the growing trees. You can either bag your horse s manure and take home or spread it around. P a g e 10 13
