1 HOOfPRINTS NOVEMBER, 2015 President: Chris Faulkner DC : Lynn Evans Secretary: Kim Sutton Hoofprints Editor Lynn Evans at jeffevans@bigpond.com CMPC Web Site DC Report Hi Everyone, This rally we are having a Pink Rally we are asking everyone to come dressed in Pink for a gold coin donation for fundrainsing towards Womens Cancer and if there are any really budding cooks out there who have some time to spare and would like to bake up a treat - in Pink that would be greatly appreciated too. Bring it to Rally to sell in the canteen. Also this rally we are having a visit from a Zone Rep. Heidi - Heidi will be there most of the day overseeing our rally and chatting to us about our club and the running of it. If you see Heidi in the clubroom stop and have a chat. Riders wishing to enter the BZ Dressage & ShowJumping championship being hosted by Bacchus Marsh on 21st November must enter through the club entry which will be available at this Rally and entry fee must be paid then also. Mark down on your calander our CMPC Awards & Presentation Night on Friday 4th December at the Lara Golf Club, Elcho Road, this is always a good fun night with members rally photo slide show, music and good company and of course Presentations. Make sure you join us for a great night. Booking details are on the flyer. On Saturday November 7th we are holding a NCAS Coaching clinic at Elcho Park, being run by PCAV. During this day we need about 10 riders and ponies to help, this is a great chance to have some free coaching. Parents are welcome to stay and listen to the different classes or even enrol in the clinic to further your knowledge of coaching. Anyone interested please contact Lynn for more details. 2 PRESIDENT S REPORT Hi All, Can t you tell it s getting near the end of the year. BEDs is over for the year, the weather is improving and we are less than a month from our presentation night. A reminder to those of you who have a perpetual trophy that as yet still adorns your trophy cabinets. Please make sure you return all trophies at the rally (latest) or we won t have time to get them engraved for the next recipients. We are again going to enjoy the hospitality of the Golf Club for an evening of good food, good fun and unfortunately me talking. We are doing as many of the awards as we can this week but with only a few performance cards we will be struggling. Next Saturday (7th) we are hosting the NCAS assessment day on behalf of PCAV. For more information please read the flyer Kim sent out earlier in the month (last week?). We will need some riders and horses though I m not sure at the moment how many, I m hoping that Zone will come up with some magic numbers for me over the next couple of days. My thanks to all those you helped at the BEDs last weekend with a special mention to Prue, Cait and the rest of the BEDS committee. The day went off smoothly with the final presentations for the series being quite a spectacle with all mounted for the awards. Regards to all. Chris

Sat 5th Dec Sun 13th Dec ***************************************************************************** SET UP, PACK UP, CANTEEN & RALLY DUTY ROSTERS We have some parents who are rostered to regularly set up & pack up the Show Jumping arenas but we are looking for a couple more. This roster is suited to members who attend nearly all rallies and stay for the whole day. Members who regularly leave at lunch time don t work for this roster as it requires pack up in the afternoon as well. Of course when everyone arrives in the morning it would be a great help if they could assist with the Set Up in the arenas. If your child is a rider in the last Show Jumping lesson it would also be a great help if you were able to give a hand to pack them away onto the Show Jumps Trailer. Thanks to those parents who assisted the instructors with picking up poles during the Show Jumping lessons at last rally. The riders in those lessons definitely benefitted from it. Canteen - Anyone who would like to assist in the canteen on a regular basis please contact Adrienne Curran as we would like to relieve some of the regular canteen helpers who are already helping the club in other areas. No Rider can start with their group until their Gear Check is complete, this includes a signature from your parent or Guardian. A parent MUST be in attendance when you are getting gear check please. Any rider leaving early for the day please inform DC Lynn or Kez & your instructor and then sign out at the office.
