Don't forget to pay your fees. Well done to all those that campaigned the BEST series for We had a lot of overall place-getters which is always fantastic to see. Results further on... BEDS Round 1 is almost upon us. This is the first event for the new "volunteer roster year". Please make sure you answer Jen's call for help when the s come around. Those wanting to ride - entries close WEDNESDAY 28 MAY - this week. This is before our rally this weekend so please make sure that your entry is in my letter box by Wednesday. Handing it to me at the rally will not be OK. The draw will already be done by then. Last rally our own Brie Snellaars and Squidge were competing in the PCAV State Horse Trials which were hosted by Riddells Creek Pony Club. Brie was out of the official placings at the end of the day (13 th ) but was chuffed to go clear on a massive cross country course, with just two seconds to spare. Brie only went up to Grade 2 at the start of this year and it was a goal to make it to the State Champs. Well done Brie. Uniform - those competing at BEDS - don't forget that this should be your formal uniform - shirt and tie and your v-necked woollen jumper. She is available to do health checks on our member s saddles for $10 or a full saddle fit including a range of new saddles to try for $50. We need to know numbers please put your name down on the list at pony club if you are interested. 4

5 RIDERS DOING YOUR C TEST IN AUGUST 2014 Your clock is ticking and August will be here quicker than you think. Pony Club C test paperwork will need to be signed and paid for this rally. You and your parent will need to sign it, and the $15.00 fee will need to be paid at this coming June Rally - no sign, no pay, no test. So please see Kurt Krause our Treasurer in the office to pay this Sunday. Our pony club sends your paid fees to the PCAV Barwon Zone in June, and we cannot afford to pay for riders who decide at the last minute they will not go through with their C and have not paid up! I will ask for our C test weekend to be 23rd or 24th August. I would like to have a C test riding and theory day on Saturday 16th August, the week before the test. Riders who are looking to do their C test in March 2015 are welcome to come to this. October Rally Whinbury Hill After our successful December rally held at Whinbury Hill we are going back there again for the October Rally So watch this space for more information Junior Committee Rosie Snellaars is your fearless leader the committee is open to members 12 years and up. Saddle Fitting Kylie Berry, our DLPC President, is studying to be a qualified saddle fitter. If you would like her to fit your saddle to your horse or advise you on what saddle would best fit your horse please contact her on to arrange a suitable time at pony club. 11 DLPC BEDS Monday 9 th Mark this date in your calendar. We are kicking off the BEDS dressage series with our competition being held at Elcho Park, Lara on the Queens Birthday Monday holiday. We are looking for volunteers to help set up rings on the Sunday and will need pencillors, canteen helpers, registration desk volunteers, runners to help on the day. Volunteering at this event counts towards your volunteer hours for the 2014/15 financial year. Jen Armitage is our volunteer coordinator for the event please Jen on jen.armitage2@bigpond.com and let her know your availability and job preferences. This will be a big day and we usually get in excess of 200 riders on the day. Entries close 28 May 2014 for those of you who wish to ride. The entry form is now available on our website 11

If parents cannot attend they must sign a form designating who will be the guardian on that day, and the guardian must also sign if in agreement. This is an important safety issue.
