We hope you have had a great year with your ponies and pony club friends at pony club and elsewhere. There has been an sent out for the Zone qualifiers for those out competing. Don t leave it to the last minute put your name down with Narelle so she knows you are interested and you will be kept up to date with all of the information. It can be tricky over the Christmas break and you don t want to miss out. Just a reminder that when you arrive at the grounds on the morning of the rally please slow down. Some of us have been towing horses in floats for years and might forget the importance of slowing down. It isn t just for the sake of the horse in the float it is also for the other members on the grounds. We have riders and ponies of different experiences and some of them very young. We need to keep it safe for everyone and this of course goes for those not towing as well. What a wonderful night everyone appeared to have at our Presentation Night. Congratulations to those who received awards and everyone for participating in Pony Club throughout the year. Just a little reminder that if anyone is looking to buy a new helmet for Christmas that there has been a change in the safety standards of European manufactured riding helmets for those manufactured in The current standard for Australian helmets (AS/NZS 3838) has not changed and is still acceptable. Basically any European helmet manufactured in 2016 stating EN1384 standard only, is not acceptable for Pony Club Australia. This allows for new technology and change of fit etc. We will be having a check of everyone s helmets dates and safety standards in their helmet at Feb. rally to guide anyone who may be unsure. For our December rally pack away your uniform and dress up in your most Christmassy gear! BUT make sure you are still safe with boots, joddies, helmet and arm band. We will be having different structured lessons for the morning with full SJ courses under instruction of Chris Mann, handy mount and polo-cross lessons from State level Polo-cross rider Sarah Richards and dressage for those who are looking to work on their flatwork. We will break at a slightly later lunchtime for free BBQ lunch then those of you who would like to dress up their pony can come back to show off their style and judging for the BEST FANCY DRESS. We will finish off with a treasure hunt with heaps of goodies to be found on the grounds then back to the clubrooms for refreshments before heading home AND maybe a visit from someone special. Gear Check Group Leaders in high visability vests will assist to run groups through Gear Check. Please be prompt for Gear Check as instructors will begin teaching at am Sharp. No Rider can start with their group until their Gear Check is complete, this includes a signature from your parent or Guardian. A parent MUST be in attendance when you are getting gear check please. Any rider leaving early for the day please inform DC Narelle or Kez & your instructor and then sign out at the office. GRADINGS MUST BE BOOKED IN BY ING NARELLE ROGERS NO LATER THAN TWENTY ONE DAYS PRIOR TO RALLY, FILL OUT A GRADING SHEET WHICH CAN BE DOWNLOADED FROM OUR WEB SITE and BRING COMPLETED FORM ALONG TO NEXT RALLY OR SCAN AND SEND WITH BOOKING. Certificate books : Could you all please bring your books to Pony Club every rally as you may be refering to them at some stage, whether it be riding or in theory sessions.
