Post holes drilled for safety rails over creek and behind water jump. (Thanks Dennis Christian for bringing along your post hole digger) New gates on Wellington Entrance. Fallen debris collected around grounds and burnt. Glass in clubrooms cleaned (thanks to Karen Coughlan first time we ve been able to see out in a long time!) Kitchen painted (thanks Jonno) Kitchen floor and walls tiled (Huge thanks to Paul Coughlan) Back store room partially cleaned out. TBContinued. All weather arena gates re-positioned so they swing. Freezer repositioned into kitchen area. Some tree s trimmed along creek area. Some fallen logs cut up for firewood. Fallen tree wood stacked for drying. 2

3 Saturday clinics Dandenong Ranges PC will be running regular Saturday Clinics from now on with Toni Shave who is a well known instructor with a number of our club members and also a former member of this club. Toni will be running clinics at our grounds on the Fourth Saturday of each month, starting on Saturday 24th July. The riders are to be grouped according to their riding ability. Ideally there would be four people per group- depending on numbers. All lessons would be in like ability groups, unless otherwise requested by the riders (and charged at the higher rate). Please see the below table, for the price list. Semi private lesson Group lesson (3 5 people) $30 per person per hour $20 per person per hour The lessons can be of any discipline; dressage, show jumping or X-country. If you are interested you must contact Toni Shave by to book your spot. Bookings must be made by the Thursday evening before each clinic. Payment can be made on the day to a committee member in attendance. If you particularly want a skill taught or an area other than that listed below focused on, please let Toni know when you contact her to book in to see if this is possible. toni_equestrian@hotmail.com Clinics:(these may change depending on demand etc) 24th July: Show Jumping 28th August: Cross Country (if the grounds are dry enough) otherwise flat & grid work? 18th September: Flat Work/Dressage Note- 3rd Sunday due to the week after being Werribee Horse Trials. 5 IMPORTANT NOTICES If you know you are not attending the July s (or any) rally - please notify the DC, Kate Huglin. This will facilitate grouping. If any riders decide to leave during a rally you must notify the DC, because according to the PCAV bi-laws riders must attend the majority of any rally to be eligible to have that rally counted for grading/ attendance purposes. On out of rally days there is access to club rooms and toilets, but there is no access to the kitchen; so please bring your own beverages. So every 8 weeks you rotate paddocks and worm and move. We then go in and harrow your paddock and check the fencing for tightness and electric charge, this ensures the grass grows evenly so your horse always has some grass and the paddock is always safe. It is of utmost importance the people we allow onto the property are the right match for the entire family here at Ebony Park. Every one respects everyone else s belongings and way of riding and is friendly and supportive of each other. We have a secure property with gates that require a code to enter and exit, and our arena never gets crowded so you will always have plenty of space to ride.
