We had a great February rally down at Officer. The facilities were great. The weather was very kind to us, and l think everyone was pleased with the day. It was good to be able to use some cross country facilities, the owner aims to construct some more jumps, which will be exciting for future use. We ve just had our Presentation night, which I thought was rather successful. We had all bar two people missing, so it was nice to have everyone there for our fun-filled night. The karaoke appeared to be a big hit with the little ones and even for some adults (*cough* Andy *cough*). I d like to warmly thank the club for my flowers and chocolates, they were much appreciated. Pony Club has been quite a large part of my life over these past few years, so it will be bizarre for me not having to devote my time to my Pony Club duties any more. However, I am sure I will find something else to fill in my spare time. Hope everyone will be able to come along to the next rally, as it is our AGM. Everyone s input is important, so we need all that we can get. I also believe next rally we will be doing a chocolate fundraiser for the club, so everyone will need to collect some chocolates. Lauren rode extremely well and was beautifully presented. Well done! Regardless of whether your child is riding, it is extremely important that all parents attend. As Lexi said at Presentation night, a club is only as strong as its committee and Berwick Pony Club is very fortunate that we have been led by a strong united team for the last few years. However there are several people stepping down from key roles and for the success of the club to continue it is vital that these roles are filled. Could all parents please consider putting their hand up and nominating themselves for a position on the committee. State Championships for the year will be as follows: State Championships for Dressage & Showjumping was held in Albury/Wodonga on the 25th & 26th February State Horse Trials will be held at Mornington Peninsula Pony Club on the 5th & 6th of May State Games, Flat Teams and Musical Ride will be held at Bacchus Marsh Pony Club on the 16th & 17th June Zone Teams Challenge to be held on the 21st & 22nd July with a venue to be decided. 24/7 Personal Accident Cover included in Membership Fees State Council has included 24/7 personal accident cover for the Membership year. In a new initiative the PCAV membership fees for the Year will include 24/7 Personal Accident cover for Riding Members. This is a new option that was offered by AON on a one in all in basis. State Council voted to include 24/7 pa cover in the PCAV Membership fees in July 2011 after receiving feedback from Clubs. However, due to the logistics of collecting the fees it was agreed to defer the implementation until the year. For 10 years What is your horses name? Wattle What do you like doing in your spare time? Hobby? In my spare time I do some photography and play indoor beach volleyball What are you working on with your riding at the moment? I have only just got Wattle so we are still getting used to each other, but we are working on our lateral work getting ready for Dressage Young Riders in April. What is your greatest riding achievement? In my first EFA state interschool competition I got 2 nd in my showmanship and qualified for Nationals to represent Victoria What do you like most about Pony Club? Catching up with everyone and seeing everyone s progress with their horses. What is your favourite riding discipline? Dressage Where do u see yourself in the next 5 years with your riding? ie. Olympics, Grade 1, EFA etc. Hopefully Wattle & I will be established at Grand Prix, and the foal I have due at the end of the year will be out competing in the 4yo classes What do you want to be when you grow up?
