2 RULES & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY The West Gippsland Branch of the Australian Stock Horse Society Limited Annual Show is conducted in accordance with the rules and regulations of The Australian Stock Horse Society Limited. Random swabbing may take place. Neither the organising committee nor The Australian Stock Horse Society Limited accept any liability for any accident, damage injury or illness to horses, riders, beasts, grounds, spectators, or any other person or property whatsoever. Competitors whilst competing, do so at their own risk. The Committee reserves the right to cancel, combine, or add to any classes if deemed necessary. The Committee reserves the right to refuse entry to any person, as they deem necessary. All entries must be financial members of the Australian Stock Horse Society. Proof of registration and current membership must be produced if required. The Judge s decision will be final. Any protest must be lodged in writing to the Secretary within 30 minutes after the event. The complaint must be accompanied by a fee of $100.00, refundable if the protest is upheld. Colt/Stallion 2 years and over must be bitted at all times. No Refunds will be given unless accompanied by a vet or medical certificate within 7 days. All stallions (2 years and over) must be doubled tied by a neck strap and halter when not in competition OR housed in suitable safe accommodation, such as securely fastened panels of a suitable height or appropriate stable. All classes to be ridden in snaffle bits. English Attire can use double rein bridle with Pelham or bit and bridoon or single rein bridge with snaffle bit. Junior Competitors (under 18 years of age) must wear an approved equestrian helmet. No Stallions or Colts are allowed in Junior es. All children must be fully supervised and parents are responsible for the safety of their own children. Novice Hack A horse remains a novice until it has won three novices or an open hack class at any show, open gymkhana or similar event, except wins in youth, consolation or restricted age classes. NEWCOMER ASH HACK For registered ASH horses who have not competed under saddle in ANY equestrian discipline prior to the show season. To be judged as a ridden hack class, looking for three good paces, moderate collection, manners and paces and overall appearance of future ridden class potential. Season being the day after the 2018 Victorian State Championships to the day prior to the 2019 Victorian State Championships. Each Victorian ASH Branch is to run a qualifying Newcomer class at their branch show. A placing of 1 st, 2 nd or 3 rd at a branch qualifier will enable the horse and rider that qualified the horse to compete in the final. 1st place at a branch show cannot compete in this class again until the final. The final is to be run at the 2019 Victorian State Championships.
