Simply charge your pupils a small fee to have a go, either individually or in teams. You could even round up some teachers to take them on. 4 QUICK RED NOSE DAY CLASSROOM GAMES All you need to play these games is paper, pencils, a timer and dice. HAVE FUN! 1. RED RACE Who can think of the most red things in a minute? Work in teams or individually and whoever tots up the biggest total wins. To make it more challenging, add a category, for instance red things you d find in the supermarket, at school or in a park. 2. RED NOSE DAY SHOPPING LIST This one doesn t need any props. Sitting in a circle, the first player says I went to the shops on Red Nose Day and I bought picking a red item to finish the sentence an apple, for example. The next player then repeats this and adds another item, for instance I went to the shops on Red Nose Day and I bought an apple and a first class stamp. The list grows as it goes round the group and the game continues until a player can t remember the full list. 3. ROLL A This one can be played individually or in groups. Put the picture on the next page up on the board so everyone knows what they re aiming for, then make sure each player or team has a blank piece of paper, a pencil and a die. The body must be drawn first, so they can t put pencil to paper until they roll a six. The other parts can be added in any order. 4

7 GET TO KNOW YOUR NOSES This year, our Noses all come from the Isle of Silly, a magical kingdom ruled by Snufflekins from the snoreytale Conk Castle. Here s what they re all up to this Red Nose Day. THE GNOSE This crazy cat rules with an iron paw but is a purrfect softy underneath. Hosting a quick-fire quiz at the castle will help bring in the cash. Who ll take the crown for brainiest Nose? Hubble bubble, this little witch could spell trouble. After a hard day s conjuring for a bake sale, the butterfly cakes all fluttered away. Quick, catch those gingerbread men! This wise old Nose will be totting up the total after all the fundraising fun. With only six toes to count on though, it could be a challenge. Eight times six is snorty eight, nine times six is sniffty four Snuffle snuffle snort sniff, schnozzle sniffle whiff (Yeah, we have no idea either, but we re sure it ll raise lots of money.) Burp. Our champion swimmer will be lapping the island to bring in the cash. All while singing a siren song any diva would be proud of. On your marks, set, swim! Snot snot, who s there? It s this cheeky little Nose gathering donations for a joke-athon. Why does a nose run and feet smell? This party animal is doing a 24-hour dance-off to help boost the total. Just like every Friday. And Saturday, Sunday, Monday Ooh, bogey wonderlaaand! Our (not-so) brave knight s doing a sponsored run for Red Nose Day. Away from dragons, jousting, duels and that spider in the bath. Eek, did someone say spider?! This chilled-out giant is hosting a sponsored snowball fight at home on Mount Snosedon. That should bring the cash rolling in. There s snow limit to the fun! This happy little hopper is signing up sponsors then hopping round the castle pond. This high-speed dash should bring in some dosh. RARE THE TRANSFORMINOS WINNER OF THE RED NOSE DESIGN CHALLENGE FOR SCHOOLS Twins Transformino and Transformina are dressing up to raise some cash. ULTRA RARE There s no stopping my hopping! The only tricky bit is finding an outfit that works the right way up and upside-down. 7

13 GET SET, QUIZ Follow our seven simple steps to get set for your big quiz. 1. PICK A VENUE It could be a classroom that s free at lunchtime or the hall if you re planning to host your quiz after school. Just make sure there s enough room for everyone and think about how many tables and chairs you ll need. 2. DECIDE ON AN ENTRY FEE Remember, this isn t just about finding the brainiest person in the school. All the amazing cash you raise will help change lives, so make sure you charge people to join in the fun. 3. SPREAD THE WORD Put up posters, get an announcement in assembly and even send out letters to let everybody know about your Red Nose Day quiz.
