1 January 2015 The January meeting of the Tudor Hall 4-H meeting was called to order at 7:16 p.m. at the fairgrounds. Ethan Beale led the pledge of allegiance and the 4-H pledge was led by Mikey Van Ryswick. Roll was called with the question, what are your 2015 projects? The minutes of the last meeting were accepted by Shelby Bowles and seconded by Sara Van Ryswick. The Treasurer s Report was accepted by Faith Thomas and seconded by Mikey Van Ryswick. Lilly Arnold - "My Guinea Pig" Savannah Bell-Bussler - "How to show Rabbits" Lydia Eccleston - "How to show a Rabbit" Angela Rourke - "Polish Rabbits" Patricia Krohn - "How to keep your Rabbits warm during the winter" and "Northern Bobwhite Quail" Faith and Kayla Thomas - "How to make peanut butter cookies" Brianna Rourke - "What you need to take care of a Polish Rabbit" Demonstrations for the next meeting will be on sewing and poultry. A Record book Workshop was held to discuss forms, fill in goals, etc. Phoebe Tate and Sophie Anderson won prizes during the prize giveaway for bringing completed record book forms to the meeting. A prize giveaway will be held for members that bring project forms to the next meeting. Under old business, members thanked the Russell s for hosting the Christmas party. We also discussed that livestock ear tags were due January 5, 2015, the by-laws, snack and drink sign up and who is going to read the Friend of 4-H. Under new business, we discussed the upcoming Leader s meeting, volunteer hours, new officer training, a Jr. Leader workshop, upcoming poultry and rabbit judging workshop, the St. Mary s 4-H Horse Committee, a training workshop for on-farm poultry and rabbit processing certification, beef weigh-in, the table decorating contest at the 4-H banquet, the 2015 MD Horse Bowl contest, the 2015 issue of the wild and woolly published on the web, a 4-H dog advisory webinar meeting, the H Animal Science updates webinars and John Richards recovery. After meeting activities were making Valentine s Day cards for the nursing home, collected donated food for Helping Hands, a rabbit and small pet workshop and collected tabs for the Ronald McDonald House. The next meeting is going to be held on February 20, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. The January Tudor Hall 4-H meeting was adjourned at 7:00 p.m. Thank you Patricia Krohn and Ethan, Sarah and Joe Beale for snacks and drinks.

2 February 2015 The February meeting of the Tudor Hall 4-H club was called to order at 7:12 p.m. at the fairgrounds. Hannah led the pledge of allegiance and the 4-H pledge was led by Mikey Van Ryswick. Roll was called with the question, Did you like the snow? The minutes of the last meeting were accepted by Emily and seconded by Sarah. The Treasurer s report was read and accepted. Under old business, we discussed the Beef weigh in and how many 4-Hers and parents went. We also talked about the 4-H Gala and how many 4-Hers and parents went. Also we talked about the officer training/jr. leading workshop and the horse bowl trainings. Everyone was reminded about 4-H online enrollment and the sheep/goat webinars pasture webinars series. We discussed 4-H day in Annapolis and recorded how many 4-Hers and parents went. The last thing we talked about was the by-laws. Under new business we talked about the Leaders meeting, volunteers hours, the bring your child to work science program this spring, the MD 4-H Livestock Skillathon in Hagerstown MD, the 4-H Horse Bowl Contest and the Little Miss & Miss St. Mary s County Farm Bureau contest. We also discussed that the CASE program will be offered at the Tech Center next year, the upcoming Southern States Event and upcoming MD 4-H Bowl Contest. Also, we discussed that the St. Mary s County 4-H Public Speaking Contest deadline is March 13 th and the setup for 4-H banquet on March 20 th. The next meeting is going to be held on March 13, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. The February Tudor Hall 4-H meeting was adjourned at 8:36 p.m. Thank you Savannah Bell-Bussler for snacks and Trent Vallandingham for drinks.

3 March 2015 The March meeting of the Tudor Hall 4-H club was called to order at 7:12 p.m. at the fairgrounds. Austin Graves led the pledge of allegiance and the 4-H pledge was led by Amber Bowles. Roll was called with the question, Are you going to the 4-H banquet? The minutes of the last meeting were accepted and seconded. The Treasurers report was read by Kayla Thomas and accepted by Angela Rourke and seconded by Savannah Bell-Bussler. Under old business, we worked on record book forms and everyone was reminded about 4-H online enrollment. Under new business we talked about the Leaders meeting, volunteer hours, the 4-H Dairy Bowl, the 4-H Horse Judging Clinic, shooters instruction training, the engineering camp, and the Little Miss & Miss St. Mary s County Farm Bureau contest. We also discussed the St. Mary s County 4-H public speaking contest, the next junior leader meeting, a horse hippology session, the newsletter committee for 4-H, a flower bulb fundraiser to help pay for the banquet, completing Diamond Clover forms, sending pictures for the banquet slide show, volunteers to help with the banquet and the table decorating contest for 4-H banquet on March 20th. Angela Rourke told the club about a rabbit show she attended. After the meeting, the club played a game where each member said their name and their favorite project when a ball was thrown to them from another member. The club also brought food collected for Helping Hands and pop tabs collected for the Ronald McDonald House. The next meeting will be held on April 17, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. at the fairgrounds. The March Tudor Hall 4-H meeting was adjourned at 7:46 p.m. Thank you to Brianna and Angela Rourke for bringing drinks. Ricky and Lillian Arnold will bring drinks and the Ecclestons will bring snacks for the next meeting.

4 April 2015 The April meeting of the Tudor Hall 4-H club was called to order at 7:19 p.m. at the fairgrounds. Ethan Beale led the pledge of allegiance and the 4-H pledge was led by Emily Russell. Under old business, we talked about the banquet, and the speaking contest, broiler chick due today, and science workshop. Under new business we talked about the leaders meeting, livestock weigh-in, tractor supply clover program, wildlife judging, horse show, and horse jamboree. After the meeting, the club painted flowers. The next meeting will be held May 15, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. at the fairgrounds. The April Tudor Hall 4-H meeting was adjourned at 7:56 p.m. Lilly Arnold and Ricky Arnold brought snacks and Linda Eccleston brought drinks.

5 June 2015 The June meeting of the Tudor Hall 4-H club was called to order at 7:13 p.m. at the fairgrounds. Rachel Riche led the pledge of allegiance and the 4-H pledge was led by Ricky Arnold. Roll was called with the question, Are you going to SMILE this weekend? The Treasurer s report was read by Kayla Thomas and accepted by Rachel Riche and Steven Frain. The minutes were read by Sophie Anderson and were accepted by Savannah Bell-Bussler and by Mikey Van Ryswick. We worked on record book forms and everyone was reminded about 4-H online enrollment. Under old business, we talked about the 4h horse jamboree, the horse judging and hippology, poultry and rabbit registration, Charles county 4-h day camps application, MD regional dog show, livestock field day and spring show, hippology/judging contest and Maryland 4-H foundation news. Under new business we talked about the leaders meeting, volunteer hours, youth opportunity Grand National waterfowl hunt, Quality assurance training due July 31, 2015, shorthorn beef judging contest, and the horse program committee. The club voted to complete a booth, banner, float and group project. Also, the club discussed having a pool party in August. Members will be checking if we can go on the base. The next meeting will be held July 17, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the fairgrounds. Thank you to the Anderson family for bringing snacks and the Arnold family for bringing drinks. Rachel Riche will be bringing snack and Austin Graves will be bringing the drinks at the next meeting. After meeting activities included collecting pull tabs and reviewing goat and swine skillathon documents. Also, Savannah Bell-Bussler showed members how to show goats at livestock shows. The meeting adjourned at 8:18.

6 Tudor Hall 4-H club was at the fairgrounds on Friday, October 16, The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Sara VanRyswick, and the 4-H pledge was led by Shelby Bowles. The Treasury Report was read by Kayla Thomas. There were not any demonstrations for this meeting. Under old business we talked about the fair, the cake auction, and herdsmanship. Under new business we talked about the Tractor Supply Clover fundraiser, the rabbit showmanship, and the gifts for 4-H members that win grand champion and reserve grand champion for livestock at the fair. Also, information from the Leader s meeting was discussed including the importance of recognizing and showing appreciation to the buyers at the livestock auction, officers training, different locations proposed for the banquet and the volunteer sheet was passed around. The club also voted to decorate a tree for the hospice event with a theme of red, white and blue. The club will also be having a holiday workshop and anyone that would like to sponsor a craft for the holiday workshop should contact Susan Vallandingham. Forrest Hall Farm has a corn maze related to 4-H and members can come in October to promote 4-H from Members can also write an article by November 27, 2015 that can be published. The October Tudor Hall meeting was adjourned at 7:47 p.m. The next meeting will be held on November 20, 2015 at the fairgrounds. Kayla and Faith Thomas brought snacks and Mikey, Sara, Derek and Kyle VanRyswick brought drinks for the meeting. Raffle tickets were sold for the 4-H All Stars to benefit National 4-H trips. 7 The December Tudor Hall 4-H meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. on December 18, 2015 at the Russell s Farm. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Ethan Beale and the 4-H pledge was led by Sarah Beale. The roll call question was, What do you want for Christmas?. The minutes of the last meeting were read by Sophie Anderson and accepted by Kayla Thomas and Sara VanRyswick. The Treasurer s Report was presented by Kayla Thomas and accepted by Ethan Beale and Sarah Cress. There were not any demonstrations for this meeting. Under old business we talked about the Secret Santa gift exchange, completing the diamond clover forms and record books, the Christmas party, officer s training on January 22, 2016 from 6-8 at the Soil Conservation meeting room, providing Christmas gifts for a family in need, bringing non-perishable foods to the December meeting, nominating officers for 2016, choosing the Friend of 4-H, and the Swine Knowledge Workshop that will be held February 6, Sara VanRyswick provided an update that the Christmas Tree Lighting Bake Sale earned $95 for the club. Under new business, awards were presented for members of the club by the leaders. New business also included an update from the leader s meeting, the volunteer hours sheet, an internship opportunity, the MD dairy convention on February 27, 2015, and robotic training. Also, a snack schedule was passed around for families to select meeting dates to bring snacks and drinks. The next meeting will be held on January 15, 2015 at the fairgrounds. After meeting activities were the Secret Santa gift exchange, collection of hats and gloves and the canned food drive. The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 p.m. REPORTER S NEWS December 2015
