1 WINTHROP TOWN MANAGER S WEEKLY BLOG December 15, 2016 Volume 1, Number 50 Manager s Message from your Town Manager, Jim McKenna Happy Holidays! Santa has made his annual plans with the Winthrop Firefighters. On Saturday, December 24, 2016 (Christma s Eve) Santa will be escorted through the streets of Winthrop by the Winthrop firefighters. Rain or snow will not keep Santa and the firefighters from completing this annual tradition, but cars parked illegally or parked on or close to corners can keep Santa from certain streets. So please for Santa and his helpers, work with your neighbors in making sure that Santa s route remains open. If you are new to Winthrop or have never seen this special procession, do not miss it. It is a truly spectacular event that rivals none. Santa s route is detailed on the last page of this newsletter.
2 Please note that all town buildings will be closed from 1pm 3pm on Wednesday, December 21 st for a town employee holiday luncheon and recognition event.
