It is the month that children are no longer in school and gain their independence from their parents, or so they think. It is the month that people take their vacations and gain brief independence from work. It is the month of the Declaration of Independence and the remembrance of the fight for freedom for this country. While we seem to celebrate the month by making pilgrimages to Washington D.C. to see the Declaration of Independence, to Philadelphia to view the Liberty Bell, to New York to view the Statue of Liberty, watching fireworks wherever they may be, enjoying hot dogs, BBQ and Mom s Apple Pie we all understand its importance. The fight for freedom and independence continues everyday not only with our military, but also each and every day at home. This should be a month of togetherness as we remember that we have, in the past, banded together for a common cause, FREEDOM. Isn t it ironic that Jefferson, Adams and Monroe all died on the same day, July 4th? As you travel around during this month celebrating with family and friends, take a moment to take a deep breath and say wow. This is a great country and a great time of the year regardless of our challenges. I hope that you celebrate with us at the Club as we celebrate Panther Creeks anniversary on July 3rd with the Red, White & Brew Event; and on July 4th as we celebrate our Country s independence and the 150th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln s death. We will have open seating once again to help Members get to know one another better. We will find that we all have the same goals, visions and desires. 5 ...ExecutiveChef, TJ Martin Oh, how time flies when you are having fun! It s hard to believe that we are already in the month of July. It seems like not too long ago we were just coming back from shutdown. We have gone from stews and hearty braised dishes to lite salads and seared fish entrees. The ground was a frozen tundra but now we have a beautiful bounty of fresh veggies from purple asparagus and baby squashes to super sweet strawberries and the most amazing cherries I have ever had the pleasure of biting into! I hope that everyone has had the chance to try some of our new and exciting dishes, our kitchen has been working very hard to showcase the highest quality products of the season. July will not be any different. We are now at the beginning of the peak of the Farmer s Market, with so much more incredible flavors and visually stunning produce there is no doubt in my mind that we will continue to provide Panther Creek with menus that will set us apart from other dining experiences. Along with the market we have also started the Panther Creek Garden again, and in a short few weeks we will be featuring many dishes using the ingredients grown on our own property!! I cannot begin to explain how excited this makes myself and the kitchen staff. Please be sure to ask your servers about what s fresh and from our garden. Hope to see everyone soon! Happy dining!!
