1 NEWS With the Christmas and New Year break fast approaching, From the Runaway Bay Seagull family, Merry Christmas and a successful 2016 to you all and your families. RBCC hopes to see you all fit, safe and refreshed early in the New Year. RBCC Christmas Party is Saturday December 19 th after the last game for The usual RBCC Chistmas feast will be provided along with entertainment (TBC). (All Senior members and their families are invited, all Junior parents are invited and Junior players are invited although please note caution on deciding if you wish your child to be in attendance as this is a rather large night.) This night will also incorporate the BAY GIFT. Who is the fasted Man, Woman and Child in RBCC? This Weekend of the 5 th & 6 th December, First Grade have a two day game played at home on Loxton 1. All members or Junior and Senior club are encouraged to attend and support first grade over this weekend. Please keep an eye on the website, Facebook page and STUMPED! JUNIOR NEWS Gareth Roberts reports that Junior cricket is running smoothly at this stage. Gareth however has asked for 1 further volunteers for around the club and junior squads during training days which run Tuesday nights through Friday nights every week of the season. This may be a night a week for an hour helping coach kids train to cooking a BBQ on a Friday Night. Senior cricketers, this is your time to shine and impart your infinite cricketing knowledge onto the next generation of Bay Seagull cricketers to ensure long term success of YOUR and OUR club. SENIOR NEWS A very successful start to the season for most RBCC sides to date. It certainly shows that hard work does pay off. Keep up the good work Gentlemen. Senior players, please understand that each and every week there are several people who work hard behind the scenes to ensure we put teams on the paddock. Each week it takes several conversations, dozens of phone calls and even more s to put our senior teams on the pitch. Each person who pulls out late in a week starts a chain reaction and the process starts all over again. Please make sure you notify your captains, coaches or selectors as early as possible if you are unable to play one weekend. LMS AUSSIE CHAMPS In mid November, LMS held the LMS Australasian Championships at Runaway Bay Cricket club. With 33 teams from all over the country in attendance the competition was pretty hot. RBCC had a few sides representing local RBCC talent with Tradies you can t Trust reaching the Quarter Finals and Here for the Bar & Kai McMahons No Name s reaching the Semi Finals. Well done to all who competed, attended, officiated and helped out over the four days. Special mention to Emily and Bec who kept us fed and hydrated. COACHES CORNER Ross Wallace wishes to remind all players, Senior training is Tuesday s & Thursday s until Christmas 5pm till 7pm. Day s will switch to Wednesday & Friday after Christmas. (Facilities Are open most nights if anyone wishes to get bowling machine out or additional training.) For those in the higher grades and/or wishing to play higher grades, please make sure you keep Ross in the loop with training and game day issues. Training structure will be the same as last season. Training starts at 5.00pm. For those who are late, there will be a warm up procedure posted to be carried out before joining the training group. When this is carried out, please see Ross or the net manager (Graham Foxe) to ensure your batting spot.

2 And for those in lower grades, this does not mean you should not be at training either... PLAYERS REPRESENTATIVE JOEL MENZIES Hi Everyone, I have been appointed as the player's representative for the 2015/16 season. If any player at the club has questions or concerns (e.g. selection procedure or issues, training format, general maintenance or concerns etc.) they would like the board to address at the following meeting, I am the person to talk to. You can either approach me on training nights or alternatively you can send an to players@runawaybaycricketclub.com.au If you are unavailable for a particular round during the year, this is a matter to bring up with Ross or your Captain, not myself. Once your concern has been discussed, I will inform you of the board's decision. The turn around time for a response will be dependent on when the next meeting is scheduled. The outcome of your suggestion will be solely determined by the board. Please don't hesitate to approach or raise any issue you may have about the club with me; I am happy to help and voice your opinion to the board to improve YOUR club.
