Adoption of Previous Minutes a. No minutes for adoption 2. President a. TLB outlined his first 24 hours in the role i. received many phone calls from clubs concerned over process of change!! ii. Was also called to Council meeting at 4pm on 3 rd December. b. Council Meeting: i. Apparently, Council had met singly with Harry S on a number of occasions in the past. ii. Council has proceeded with the upgrade with Jensen. Half of it has been given to Bankstown City Lions, and the other is for BDAFA. But BDAFA hasn t yet indicated to Council what it wants to do with it. iii. Harry S has previously promised Berries one night a week at Jensen and each alternate weekend. Berries have been paying to use Crest Inner. iv. Council produced documents, MoUs and agreement between Council, Berries, Lions and BDAFA that members had seen before. It was noted that someone on previous Executive of BDAFA must have been aware / party to. v. Council appears to favour BC Lions and see seem not likely to actively support agreements with Berries. vi. Council seemingly helpful about the use of Jensen. vii. Council offering - Portable Canteen, Liquor Licence and Office facility offered by Council. viii. TLB / MB seems like council is keen to help and throwing stuff at BDAFA. 2 c. TLB is meeting with Berries tomorrow night (Tuesday 10 th December). d. TLB meeting with Lions on Wednesday Night 11 th December. i. Apparently, Bankstown Lions has applied for affiliation of Lions in Counter to Proposal to MoU for Lions instead of an MoU with Berries. It was noted at AGM that there were no new club affiliations. e. TLB asked for a consensus as to how to proceed with the meetings in the next two days. Feedback: i. GR either Berries or Lions need us. We have to what is best for the kids. ii. DL we can support more than one City Lions or Berries Clubs. iii. AS - BDAFA has a history with City Lions (previous financial problems), however Berries are supposedly cashed up. They are both taking players from the area for their SAP programs. iv. DL (Idea) Offer shared Jensen to Lions. v. GR (Idea) Bankstown Lions could they Rebadge as Bankstown United, Green & Gold vi. GP (Opinion) We should develop our own first grade at least as a future strategy. f. TLB Will proceed with discussions this week with Council, Berries & City Lions and discuss by circular . Motion (DL / GR) to leave the Executive to discuss and decide on a direction. g. TLB discussion of DG (Admin) taking parts of Portfolio. TLB suggesting that each committee member list down what DG can do for each of our portfolio. 3. Secretary a. Office access & equipment i. Committee members access (keys) No existing Key register. Not sure if all keys returned. Scott has Leanne P, Trevor got Harry s, Matt B got Cassie s, Kevin G still has his. GR Moved MJ Seconded change locks, create register and sign for them there are four locks Action Diane G Have the Keys for Jensen from Leanne P. Need to find Light Clicker for Jensen or get a new one Action Diane G. ii. Computers Notebook - Cassie s is Back to George P after Scott F removed all secretarial files etc Notebook - Ruffie s got one but doesn t need it. Will return it to the Office for reuse Notebook - Kevin Graham has got the Competition Secretary s one. To be returned and provided to DL / JS for their Competition use. iii. Applications Access Sporting Pulse Competitions Access to be Scott F, Dave L, Josh S, Sandy. MFC George P, Andrew S, Scott F, DG Facebook is still with Leanne P, TLB suggested we get DG to do this. DL suggested that Josh S would be good as well. BDAFA Website needs work / MB looking at this. BDAFA re-directs configured. AMF need config info for POP access. iv. Phones Leanne P has given her phone to Scott F. Kevin s SIM & Account Cancelled DG arranged this Phone / Sim Card for Dave L to be obtained. Start with and Allowance for Josh S v. 3 4. Senior Vice President (Judiciary) a. Changes to team-sheets required due to new G & D regulations and By-Law Changes AS / AMF to prepare for pre 31/12 Distribution. i. Add block for players serving suspensions / stood down ii. Extra Subs Line for PL Team Sheet. b. By-Laws hand out to MC committee AMF to give final go-over of By-Laws. AS to final go-over of D & G document with Zoheb (FNSW) c. BDAFA needs to re-distribute all the Fees Documentation so clubs can finalise their 2014 registration fees etc. Action AMF / SF 5. Junior Vice President (Appeals) a. No items 6. Treasurer a. GR in the account b. Still owed some money. About $7000 owed most from Dragons. c. TLB - $22 from Milperra. d. DG given a weekly report. Note she is an Accountant by Trade. GR to send to AMF. e. Annual Report from Auditor. f. Move to online signatories with Commonwealth passed. g. Query regarding Auditor appointment confirmed for h. Reports handed to AMF for inclusion in MC Minutes 7. Competition Secretaries a. Grading Sub-Committee: i. Includes DL, JS, SA, GR, SB and MB as substitute if required. b. Grading appeals Sub-Committee i. AS, AMF, PM, SF, WH and MB as substitute if required and not on GC. c. Grading notifications to Club will be as per new by-laws and clubs will only be advised of where their teams have been graded. Details of all clubs will not be provided to all clubs. This should reduce the number of Grading Appeals. d. DL and JS will work in Tandem / Tag Team arrangement. e. Other items in GB 8. Registrar a. Registration Process 2014 document in draft form. 4 12. MPIO a. MJ MPIO still need to fill out our forms. It is recommended that it be done online. It is what Clubs will need to do for Propose that BDAFA moves to get it done during 2014 and avoid the rush that is almost certain to occur in 2015 as the deadline approaches. Discuss next meeting. 13. Referees Standing Committee a. AS and AMF to continue on this committee. b. TLB would like to meet at the first meeting c. GR suggested in maybe a good idea for the RSC / EC representatives to attend a couple of the BFR training activities during Jan / Feb PL Standing Committee a. TLB and WH to be on this committee to work together with the PL Club Committee b. Committee to follow by-laws re nominations / selection etc. c. Nominations already received from Hornets (PL2 and PL1 maybe), Bass Hill and Thistles (In-Transit) 15. Development / Caoching a. GP Region League needs 13s & 14s MB to add to Website etc b. GP BBq for the kids on last training 17 th December. Approved c. GP Region League Sponsorship Hit the Region League Parents. TLB Note need to work with Diane G has been working in the background on this. d. GP Wanderers Development Coach prepared to come out to assist with BDAFA Development Squad. Yes definitely go ahead with this. TLB Discussed Aligning with National Body and its desires. Cited what happened with Bankstown Sports and the AFL. 16. General Business a. Summer Soccer Who is maintaining this now i. Villawood is running it and is being renumerated. ii. Problems and rumoured allegations. Is there any Ground Marshall? - Appears allegations unfounded iii. Referees not filling in yellow cards on team sheets iv. Last Week there were 2 red cards. No Reports received by BDAFA apparently one was a R2 (violent conduct) Query to BFR b. For Distribution to clubs due 31 st Dec 2013 Calendar needs to be done for By-laws and G & D finalised FNSW / BDAFA Fees / Referees Fees Registration Process document Competition Structure Document from DL, PL1 match of the Round at night at Jensen. Mid week round for all competitive comps. c. Promotion of Football in Bankstown 2014 DL suggested getting people from both Wanderers and Sydney FC SF FNSW Registration advertising want a story SF have received tickets from Wanderers for the next few games discussed their use with sponsors etc. Harry S, AS and GR s 2013 Honorarium going to underprivileged kids playing sport. 5 d. Conditions of Field Josh S As part of playing cricket he has observed a number of ground have poor conditions particularly the Goal Mouths. He proposes getting in touch with clubs about condition of goal mouths etc and then forwarding on to Council. It was noted that the Council has already missed some of the best growing season during spring. e.
