2 Your lifestyle realized In this issue of the Season Preview we are taking a look at what will be going on this spring at Copper Canyon Golf Club. Unfortunately we had a very cold and wet winter that made it tough on golfers, but the good news is that the worst of the weather should be behind us and the course is in fantastic shape! Be sure to look out for a number of events being held at both Copper Canyon Golf Club and the Indigo Grille that are sure to be a lot of fun! Meanwhile we continue to celebrate our 10th Anniversary. Keep your ears open for the announcement of a special 10th Anniversary golf event being held this April! We hope that everyone has a wonderful spring, and to make sure you do, we will continue to work hard to ensure that the lifestyle you hoped for here at Sun City Festival becomes a reality! 3 Facility News More 18-hole Times Available As is always the case in March we expect to gain more availability for 18- hole rounds thanks to longer days and creative tee-sheet solutions like double shotguns and double-tee starts. Wednesdays throughout March will consist of both a morning shotgun for the SCF Men s Group, and an afternoon shotgun for open play. Doing this creates an opportunity for upwards of additional 18-hole tee-times. On Fridays and Saturdays we will have double-tee starts that accomplish a similar goal. By having groups start on both #1 and #10 we are able to create additional starting times. Consider booking on one of these days if you are having trouble finding a time for your group! Construction Begins Soon! Look for construction on both the Indigo Grille and cart barn expansions to begin in late-spring/early-summer! 4 The newly formed Copper Canyon Golf Club Ambassadors Program is made up of 36 individuals who have volunteered their time to keeping our golf course in the best possible condition. Our dedicated members will help to make sure that good habits such as repairing ball marks are spread to all golfers playing at Copper Canyon Golf Club. CCGCAP members will also take part in meetings where they can give their perspective and gain insight into golf course maintenance. 9 Professional Golf Instruction Golf Instruction Offerings: Professional Staff Jimmy Pullano, PGA Head Golf Professional Erik Christiansen, Associate Golf Professional, PGA Apprentice One-on-One Private Instruction: $45 per 30-min Session - Received personalized 1-on-1 golf instruction from one of our professional instructors. Private lessons are scheduled individually with the desired instructor. Player Development/Game Improvement Group Clinics: $20 per 1-hour Session - These clinics are held every Monday and Friday from 10-11am. An instructor will lead a small group of students through a demonstration of that sessions specific topic followed by 1-on-1 instruction time with each student to reinforce the topic. Sign-up sheets for the clinics are located in the golf shop, ask any associate for assistance. Get Golf Ready: $99 per Student for 5-day Session - This program is a great way for beginners to get introduced to the game of golf. An instructor will lead a small group of students through a 5-day session that covers everything a new golfer need to be prepared to play. The sessions are 90-min per day for 5 days in-a-row. The week ends with the students and instructor heading out to the course to play a few holes! These sessions are offered once per month and space is limited! For additional information, or to signup, please contact the golf shop. Quick-Tip Be sure to develop a consistent and easily repeatable routine. Having a consistent routine creates a level of comfort over each shot that leads to a more confident swing! Your lifestyle realized Page 9

With the amount of traffic our greens see, we need your help to keep them in the best shape possible. Please see the picture below that describes the proper way to repair your ball marks. PLEASE obey any signage or restrictions that are made by our maintenance staff. PLEASE follow the 90* rule with golf carts and keep those carts out of ALL LANDSCAPED AND DESERT AREAS. PLEASE do not retrieve balls from homeowners private property. With your help, we can ensure that our course maintains its s reputation as one of the best conditioned facilities in the valley.
