2 From Your Board of Directors Thanks to all of the members who came out to the General Stockholders mee ng Monday. Congratula ons to our new board members elected last night, Bucky Scribner, Omer West and Jim Ball. I look forward to working with you. Thanks to the out going board members, Paul Ivey, Don McGowen and Sam Willcut. Enjoyed working with all of you the past three years. Welcome to our new Introductory member Dan Zeldon. Also welcome to Billy & Tami Freeman who started out as Introductory members but changed to full me members. Thanks, Sco Crowell Course Superintendent 2014 Lake Valley Tournament Schedule Fall Couples October GOLF NEWS Entry Forms are already out for these events. If you want to play in any of these tournaments you need to sign up quickly before all the spots are filled! Bag Storage and Locker Rental The club offers golf bag storage and locker rentals for both men and women. If anyone would like to take advantage of these handy services, just contact Dan or Andi and we can get you signed up. Hole in One Congratula ons go to Karen Kennedy for her recent ace on Hole #2 at Lake Valley. Karen made her perfect shot on August 6th with her #5 iron. The shot was witnessed by Holly Warren. Great Job Karen! 2

3 Fall Dra Tournament This event will be on Saturday, October 11 th. It will be a four person bestball event with a player dra the night before and is open to men and women members. The cost for this one day event is $30 per player. Look for no ces and sign up sheet in the clubhouse. Swimming Pool The pool is now closed. Thanks to the pool staff for another wonderful season! Party Bridge Lake Valley Party Bridge is on Wednesdays. Call Nancy Hanks at or Linda Martin at for more information. The next BUNCO will be Thursday, September 25th. Dinner at 6:00 PM and play BUNCO at 7:00 PM. Call Priscilla to sign up. 3

4 Driving Range Packages Again this year Lake Valley will offer individual range passes for $100 and family passes for $175. These yearly passes are good for all range balls you care to hit for If you like to practice or have decided that this is the year you are going to improve your game, this offer is for you! Contact Dan or Andi to get signed up for the year. Lucky number: The lucky number this month is #5036. IF this is your number call Priscilla to claim your $25 cart package. Congratulations to last month s winner Paulette Russell. The LVCC Men s Senior Championship is scheduled for Monday and Wednesday September 8 & 10. The event is open to any male Lake Valley member that is 50 years old or older by September 8 th. This event will be pre flighted by age with all players compe ng in both net and gross divisions. The cost for the event is $20 per player. There will be an 8:30 shotgun start each day. Sign Up now in the Pro Shop! Men s Stag Night The August Stag night will be Tuesday, September 23rd. The committee is: Jim Ball Ron Burnau Gilbert Foster Rick McElwee Clayton Rogers Buzz Sawyer Jake Sullivan John Watts Sam Willcut The MGA Fall Blow Out Tournament is scheduled for Sunday October 5 th. The format is a two man shamble with handicap. Look for flyers and line up your partner. This will be the final MGA event for 2014 that offers qualifying points for the MGA Cup. You can either include it with your monthly statement or e mail it to LVCC@lakevalleygolf.com We are currently missing many member addresses from our current listing and would like to have everyone included in all e mail future communications. You can even sneak a peak at the golf course through the webcam! The LVCC Couples Championship This year s event is scheduled for Sunday, September 21 st. The format will be a scramble with both Net and Gross prizes. Cost for the event is $40 per couple, which includes your riding cart. The tournament will use a 12:00 shotgun start. The Sign Up sheet is available in the Pro Shop. Meet Bonnie Moore Bartender This is my third season at Lake Valley. I was born in Denver, Colorado but I have called the lake area my home for over 30 years. I received an Associate degree in Early Childhood in I went back to school and took some business classes but returned to education. I will start my student teaching in January and finish my degree at Central Methodist University. I live in Sunrise Beach with my two beautiful daughters, Angela who is 15 and Emily who is 13. My oldest daughter, Tori, just started at Lindenwood University in St. Charles Missouri. I really enjoy working at Lake Valley. 6
