2 The CJGA World Junior Challenge, now in its 26th year, is one of the marquee events conducted by the Canadian Junior Golf Association. Since the inaugural teeoff in 1993, the CJGA World Junior Challenge has seen thousands of junior golfers, representing over 30 countries, pitted against one another in a friendly, yet competitive environment held at some of Florida s most prolific golf courses. This highly recognized event, held during the winter holiday season, December 27-30, offers Canadian and International juniors alike the opportunity to compete in an internationally ranked tournament while experiencing the culture of Florida golf. The CJGA World Junior Challenge is a stroke play competition that includes a Team Component representing golf federations, associations and academies throughout the World. Individual Stroke Play Championship In the CJGA World Junior Challenge, juniors will compete in their respective age divisions for individual honors. Individual Entries are $ USD. Team Stroke Play Championship The CJGA Country/Academy Team Entry provides an opportunity for countries/academies throughout the world to engage in a team competition while each participant competes in the CJGA World Junior Challenge for the Individual Championship. Each CJGA Country/Academy Team Entry will have a male and female team component. Each team must consist of four (4) players with the three (3) best scores for each round counting towards the team total. Teams are required to have a minimum of three (3) players to compete. CJGA Country/Academy Teams can have multiple teams in the competition (example: Team Korea 1, and Team Korea 2). Male and Female Teams are not combined. Players on each team will also be included in the CJGA World Junior Challenge stroke play championship for individual honors. The CJGA World Junior Challenge will recognize the top two teams at the end of the event plus individuals in stroke play. Team Entries are $1500 USD. Individual and Team Registration The CJGA World Junior Challenge is an open championship available to all juniors. CJGA membership is not required. Since 1993, over 30 countries from around the world have been represented at the CJGA World Junior Challenge. Parent/Junior: The CJGA will be conducting a parent/junior best ball event on December 27th for participants and their parents. The tournament entry fee includes the best-ball tournament fee for the junior only. Parents wishing to play in the best-ball event are subject to a $99 USD entry fee. If the junior does not have a parent playing partner for the best ball event, the CJGA will pair the junior up with a tournament volunteer or another junior participant. Please ensure you check the appropriate boxes in the application and fill in the participating parent if applicable. PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE ARE ONLY 144 SPOTS AVAILABLE. ENTRIES ARE ACCEPTED ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS. Welcome Reception Presented by Core Golf Academy: All players, parents and guests are invited to the Welcome Reception. The cost for players is included in the players entry fee. Parents and guest that wish to attend should notify the tournament director. The cost will be $35. Practice Rounds: Juniors and parents that are staying at the resort are welcome to play all the resort courses. Practice rounds should be booked directly with the Innisbrook Resort by calling and ask to be transferred to the Pro Shop. In order to receive the CJGA Special Rate you must mention that you are a part of the Canadian Junior Golf Association. Discounted tee-times* will be available prior to the tournamnent - Juniors - $49.50 plus taxes; Parents - $71 plus taxes (includes range balls) * Rates include range balls prior to play only. Additional range balls can be purchased for an additional fee of $8.00 per bucket. In addition these rates are available only during tournament rounds (December 27-30, 2018), pre and post rounds will be available for- Island: $50.00 juniors; $90.00 parents; North and South courses: $35.00 Linksters; $75.00 parents, Copperhead: $65.00 juniors; $ parents, pricing is per round/plus tax and reserved for guests staying at Innisbrook. Pre and post rounds for guests not staying on property- Island: $60.00 juniors; $ parents; North and South courses: $45.00 Linksters; $90.00 parents, Copperhead: $75.00 juniors; $ parents, pricing is per round/plus tax. Tournament Tee Times: It is the responsibility of the participant to be aware of their tee time. Tee times will be available 72 hours prior to the first round on the CJGA website at cjga.com or by calling the course proshops. Tee times will also be ed to players. Caddies: Caddies are prohibited. Please visit cjga.com for further details. Distance Measuring Devices: Distance Measuring Devices are allowed. Pull Carts: Please note that pull carts are allowed in the competiton however pull carts are not available for rent at Innisbrook Resort. Parents/Spectators: Parents and spectators are welcome to attend the event and are encouraged to follow the participants during the competition rounds. Spectator carts are only available to those who have a medical certificate. The CJGA Spectator Policy will be strictly enforced. Tournament Yardages: Tournament yardage and tee decks will vary between the Copperhead/Island Courses and the North Course. Check the CJGA website (cjga.com) for approximate yardages for Linksters.
