1 2017 : 50 th Reunion Staten Island, NY: Friday Events On Oct. 27 and 28, 2017, the held a reunion on Staten Island. Friday Oct. 27, a golf outing at South Shore Golf Course Friday Oct. 27, an informal mixer at Joyce s Tavern Saturday Oct. 28, a Memorial Mass in the MFHS Chapel Saturday Oct. 28, the Main Event at LiGreci s Staaten In all, 53 Class Members (and 1 beloved widow of a classmate) participated along with 46 guests to put us at an even 100. This was about a 25% increase from 5 years prior. (Note: We had an additional 7 people that registered but were late cancellations or no shows for various reasons.) In this deck, we capture images from the Friday events (golf and the mixer). There was a Friday band practice at a professional studio in Rosebank also that was fun and productive but was not captured in this deck. There is a separate deck for the Saturday events (Mass and Main Event) and a separate tab containing all the videos of the reunion band s (Band of Rockers) set.

2 2017 : 50 th Reunion Golf Scramble: South Shore American Golf made a last minute move of the outing from LaTourette to South Shore and that worked out great. While we have no group shot of everyone together, we have shots of each of the 5 foursomes. Our golfers were: Biz Randle, Set Hayes (St. Peters 67), Randy Goffred, Jim Sheeran, Matt Graf, Jack Paluszek, Bill Vossen, Rich Bringoli, John Whyte, John Spillane, Ed Farley, Jerry Kenny, Mike O Grady, Mike Solimando, Tony Satch Sierra, Tom T Bowles, Jim Jumbo Reilly, Mike Elliott, Joe Ramos, and Rich Travers. The 20 golfers were 33% more than at the 45 th.

3 2017 : 50 th Reunion Golf Scramble: South Shore GC The weather was absolutely perfect at 65 degrees and blue skies (same weather on Saturday too). The course was also in great shape and a traditional four man scramble (best ball) ensued. The prize for low team total was a pack of gum (a large pack) donated by John Whyte and split by the top two teams. There were three par threes where a $100 pool was split between the individuals who recorded tee shots closest to the pin. Jerry Kenny 13 from pin on #6 Rich Bringoli 10 from pin on #8 Rich Bringoli 3 from pin on #14 On the left, in our only action shot, Randy Goffred drills a tee shot on the 8 th hole. On the right are the two money winners for closest to the hole: Rich Bringoli won 2 of the 3 contests while Jerry Kenny won the other.

5 2017 : 50 th Reunion Golf Scramble: South Shore GC Birdies #8, #9, #14 Bogeys on #15, #18 Second place went to team of Matt Graf, Jack Paluszek, Bill Vossen, and, Rich Bongs Bringoli at 1 under.

6 2017 : 50 th Reunion Golf Scramble: South Shore GC Birdies on #2, #3, and #18 Bogeys on #7, #11, and #17 These four all met in first grade in 1955 at St. Teresa s. Third place went to John Whyte (Augies 67), John Spillane, Ed Farley, and Jerry Kenny at even par.

7 2017 : 50 th Reunion Golf Scramble: South Shore GC Birdies on #2, #9, and #14 Bogeys on #1, #11, #15, and #16 Fourth place went to Mike O Grady, Mike Solimando, Tony Satch Sierra, and Tom T Bowles at one over par.

8 2017 : 50 th Reunion Golf Scramble: South Shore GC Bogeys on #1, #5, #8, #15, #16, Fifth place went to Jim Jumbo Reilly, Mike Elliott, Joe Ramos, and Rich Travers at five over par. This team was first off the tee, first to band practice, and first to the mixer.

9 2017 : 50 th Reunion - Mixer: Joyce s Tavern in Eltingville Joyce s Tammany Room and back patio made for a great setting for our mixer that started at 7PM. 16 2017 : 50 th Reunion - Mixer: Joyce s Tavern The Class lost Jack Cummings in the summer of 2017 but his younger brother Tim (left) dropped in to let us know how much Jack enjoyed the reunions. Tim has been teaching at MFHS for over 15 years and shared stories of Jack with Jim Mercereau, Joe Ramos, and Biz Randle.

17 2017 : 50 th Reunion: Vectors Dinner, Ciro s in Matawan The night before our Friday night mixer, the Vectors got together with their wives for a dinner at Ciro s Pizza Cafe. Rich Travers, Vin Montalbano, Al O Leary, Lou Castioni and Joe Ramos hold the banner. Not pictured: Larry Chorman, Tom Bowles, Biz Randle, and Tom and Nilda Sleap crashed the dinner and joined in the pre-reunion festivities.
