2 2 Gary Woodland PGA TOUR player Gary Woodland turned pro in 2007 after graduating from the University of Kansas. Woodland has notched 17 top-25 finishes in 60 starts and is currently ranked No. 65 in the Official World Golf Rankings. In 2011, Woodland picked up his first TOUR victory at the Transitions Championship. (2014) At No. 51 in the Polo Golf Rankings, Wu will compete as the highest-ranked player in the field. He won the 2011 Emerson Junior Golf Classic and placed second at last year s Montverde Academy Junior All-Star Invitational. Recently, he posted his sixth top-10 AJGA finish with a T9 showing at the Winn Grips Heather Farr Classic hosted by Longbow Golf Club. Andrej Bevins, Elk Grove, Calif. (2013) Bevins has verbally committed to the University of New Mexico. The high school junior recently finished third at the Winn Grips Heather Farr Classic hosted by Longbow Golf Club. Angel Yin, Arcadia, Calif. (2017) Yin is the highest-ranked female in this week s field at No. 23 in the Polo Golf Rankings. The seventh-grader qualified for the U.S. Women s Amateur in 2011 and has compiled five top-10 junior golf finishes, including a win at the 2011 Joanne Winter Arizona Silver Belle. Lilia Vu, Fountain Valley, Calif. (2015) Vu is a 2010 honorable mention Rolex Junior All-American and has captured two AJGA victories, including a win at the 2011 Junior All-Star at River Ridge. Vu recently finished T7 at the Winn Grips Heather Farr Classic hosted by Longbow Golf Club. Paige Lee, Folsom, Calif. (2013) Lee returns to Diablo Grande after placing fifth at last year s event. The high school junior is currently ranked No. 62 in the Polo Golf Rankings and has eight top-10 junior golf finishes. Lauren Diaz-Yi, Thousand Oaks, Calif. (2013) Diaz-Yi has given a verbal commitment to the University of Virginia and will come to Diablo Grande ranked 84 th in the Polo Golf Rankings. In 2011, she notched two top-10 AJGA finishes, including a tie for sixth at the AJGA Junior Challenge.

At the event, the AJGA will provide: Information about the tournament and its participants leading up to the event Assistance with player interviews before, during and after the tournament A golf cart to make covering the tournament as easy as possible Assistance locating players on the course A recap with results after each tournament round in a timely manner During the week of the tournament, the AJGA will have three communications representatives on hand to assist the media. These media officials will write an AP Style recap and produce agate results each tournament day. These will then be faxed and/or ed to all media outlets. Interviews with AJGA Tournament Directors, Tournament Chairmen and juniors can be conducted before or after every round. The AJGA website, ajga.org, is a tremendous media resource. 4 4 About the AJGA The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. The AJGA provides valuable exposure for college golf scholarships, and has an annual junior membership (boys and girls ages 12-18) of approximately 5,500 junior golfers from 49 states and more than 40 countries. To ensure scholarship opportunities for all junior golfers who have the skill, the AJGA created the Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant program to provide financial assistance to young players in need.
