As a bonus, sponsor a new member to our league and receive a free 18 hole round of golf with cart. Sign up, pay your fees on or before March 31 st and you will be entered into a draw for a free golf and cart pass for 2017 season. Receive a ballot for each 9 hole round of golf you play throughout the regular schedule. The ballots will be drawn by the golf course at the final banquet, giving five winners a free cart and golf for the following season. Play 10 consecutive weeks (starting May 2nd) and receive a complimentary round of golf ( Equal to what was paid the previous 10 weeks ) on the 11 th /22nd week. Attendance will be verified by your league scores that were submitted over that period. Be sure to enter your score in the score book, before leaving the course. Membership Cards Membership cards will be provided to our new members. This card when swiped will provide you with the reduced green fee rates, food and apparel discounts. Returning members who already have a membership card will need to have it reactivated. Be sure to carry your card with you and have it swiped when you first sign in or you could be charged the full rate. If you need a new card, please let us know.

2 Online Scoring Again this year, we will use the Golfscoring online scoring system. It rewards team attendance, provides immediate results for you and your team, interesting blogs, and will provide complete statistics for you and your buddies. It is a lot of fun to follow! As a bonus we will have the ability to show the weekly results on the big screen in the club house! It s like a mini tournament every Tuesday. Go to Closest to the Pin As in previous years, the closest to the pin will be run nightly on 4 designated par 3 s. 4 chances to win each Tuesday! It only costs $ prepaid for the season. That s correct, one small fee and you are entered for the entire 22 weeks. 88 chances to win! All members entered in this competition must play from the white tees on the par 3 s. Fun Competitions Games such as Longest 1 Putt, Senior (60 yrs) and Open Longest Drive, Closest to the pin in regulation (par 4 s) will be run periodically, free of charge! NOTE: You can only win once per season on any of these free games. In addition, we also encourage all of our league members to play the 50/50 draw ($2.00). Any and all profit from this draw will go directly to helping us provide these extra games, food days and assists your committee in maintaining a substantial prize table. Every little bit helps! We will also have monthly draws, will update you before league play begins SKINS Fair to Everyone! To further enhance our league, we again are offering a Skins Competition which will run alongside our regular team vs team format. It s set up in flights, so you will only play against others with the same skill/handicap level. The league scoring system will track and calculate the number of skins won and the value of each skin. Entry into the Skins Competition is $40.00 in advance and of course, it s optional. When you sign up for this year s league, please indicate if you plan on competing in the weekly Skins Competition. This skins competition will be run on the default scoring 9 for that particular week and the results will be transparent and posted on our website. The Skins will be grouped in flights (see explanation below) based on your league handicap so it will be fair to everyone.

3 Q: How do League Skins work? A: The scoring system compares every eligible (paid) player s hole-by-hole score (within their flight) and determines if any player has the lowest score on a particular hole. If two or more players tie for the lowest score on a hole there is no Skin on that hole. 4 * In this example, there were 2 Skins won; Ian Leggatt made a 3 on the 5 th hole and Paul McCullough made a 3 on the 8 th hole. There were 13 players entered in this flight and the entry fee was $2.00 so the total pot is $26.00 (13 x $2.00). The Skin Value is determined by dividing the Pot by the number of Skins won which in this case was $ / 2 = $ If no Skin is won the Pot is carried over to the next week. * The nice thing about our Skins is that we can run as many flights as needed, so it s fair for everyone. In the example above, the flight is based on gross scores and only players with league handicaps between +2 and 6 are included (bear in mind these are 9-hole league handicaps). The Committee will look at our Statistics from last year: to determine how many and the make up of the flights. Following are the skins flights from last year (2016): Gross Flight +2-6 (9-hole league handicap) Gross Flight 7-9 (9-hole league handicap) Gross Flight (9-hole league handicap) Net Flight Make-up Rounds (9 hole league handicap) In the event of a rainout/inclement weather only, rounds may be golfed off and scores submitted no later than 9:00 pm on the next day (Wednesday). Those make up rounds will count toward your team result. Obviously, there won t be skins or closest to the pin competitions on make-up rounds. Scores must be e- mailed to the scorer to count. Other than rain-out make-ups, only scores submitted on or before the scheduled Tuesday, will be accepted. To help alleviate the congestion on the tee between 4 and 6 pm and with permission from the starter, you may tee off on either course designated for that day (buck/fawn, fawn/doe, doe buck). The system will automatically adjust your score by handicap and course slope. Please make sure you indicate to the scorer, which course and from what tee you played from, so it can be entered properly. One thing you will need to know though, you are welcome to play whichever nine you choose but you ll only be eligible for Skins if you play the default (count) nine. As stated earlier, fun games (no charge) will be run from time to time, such as closest to the pin in regulation, longest 1 putt, longest drive, closest to the pin in regulation, senior and regular etc. Team Captains Would you like to be a team captain? There is very little work involved as a captain, other than rallying and motivating the troops when needed during the summer. It s also a great way to meet your fellow league members.
