5 Buy Local: Save time & money! Help sustain Hagerman Valley and its businesses by purchasing local goods and services. NATIONAL PARK SERVICE The word of the month, if not the year, is "partnerships." It is one the Hagerman Valley Foundation knows well, and it is no different for parks. At the January 'town hall' meeting for Billingsley Creek the state parks representatives made public a working partnership exploration between Hagerman Fossil Beds and Idaho State Parks. It was not a secret, but is something still being negotiated and defined. It is hoped that if there is a visitor center built at Billingsley, one planned to be a regional hub for tourism information, that the National Park Service could potentially work with the Idaho State Parks to design and staff the building. As you know, the Thousand Springs State Park doesn't have staffing to be open and provide a welcome center all year long. We at the Fossil Beds are open and often distribute maps and park information for the state parks. Since our current visitor center is too small to handle bus groups the new possible visitor center at Billingsley is likely to be where many of our education programs would be offered (we currently Diane Garcia, Chief of Education & Visitor Services Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument PO Box 570, Hagerman ID (208) diane_garcia@nps.gov IDEAL LENDING / HALF PRICE TITLE Affordable Title Loans (A+ BBB Rated) Cars, Trucks, Boats, Motorcycles Signature & Vehicle Installment Loans OPEN M-TH: 10A-6P FRI: 10A-7P SAT: 10A-3P QUICK & BILINGUAL BEST SERVICE LOW INTEREST RATES PAY OFF EASY PAY EARLY NO PENALTY $20 GOOGLE REVIEW, $100 REFERRAL PROGRAM office (208) cell (208) CALL FOR DETAILS ON HOW TO QUALIFY 136 Blue Lakes Blvd, Twin Falls Use HagermanValleyFoundation.org link. Exploring a formal partnership where the Fossil Beds gains more space and the State Parks gains staff they don't have to pay- that's what we're working on.
