9 General and Financial Cnditins Attendance and Punctuality Plicies 1. Intrductin At Rainbw Schl we believe that gd attendance is essential fr ur children t take full advantage f the schl life. Regular and punctual schl attendance is very imprtant t us. Children wh are persistently late r absent sn fall behind with their learning. This frequently develps large gaps in their learning; it can als have repercussins n the child s integratin within his /her grup. This is why the schl staff emphasizes the imprtance f pupils arriving and leaving schl n time. 1.1 Arrival Schl Hurs Rainbw Schl drs pen frm 8:45 am t 9:00 am. Primary lessns begin prmptly at 9:00 am. Children wh arrive later than 9:00 must reprt t the schl ffice where their name and time f arrival will be nted in the lateness bk. 1.2 Cllectin Schl Hurs Rainbw Schl drs re-pen at 3:45 pm. Cllectin time is frm 3:45 pm t 4:00 pm. At 4:00 pm children are brught t the Blue rm until 4:10 pm. If a child is nt cllected by 4:10 pm his/her name will be recrded in the late cllectin bk, and a late fee must be paid. On Wednesday cllectin time is 12:00 pm, children cllected after 12:10 pm will have t pay a late fee. Schl Unifrm Plicies 2. Intrductin It is ur schl plicy that all children wear the schl unifrm when attending schl, r when participating in a schl-rganised event utside nrmal schl hurs. We believe the unifrm represents the schl and therefre, must be in gd cnditin, clean and wrn prperly. Each item f the unifrm must be clearly marked with the child s name. 2.1 Aims and Objectives Our plicy n schl unifrm is based n the ntin that schl unifrm: prmtes a sense f pride in the schl; engenders a sense f cmmunity and belnging twards the schl; is practical and smart; prtects children and parents frm scial pressures t dress in a particular way; makes children feel equal t their peers and fcuses the imprtance n wh they are, nt what they wear 2.2 Jewellery and extreme haircuts On health and safety grunds we d nt allw children t wear jewellery in ur schl. 10 2.3 Ftwear The schl wants all children t grw int healthy adults. We believe that it is dangerus fr children t wear shes that have platfrm sles r high heels, s we d nt allw children t wear such shes in ur schl. Shes shuld be navy blue r black. N shes with laces unless they already knw hw t tie their shes. Please nte that trainers are nt an acceptable substitute fr the black gym shes. Fr all grades, clean dry gym shes are t be left at schl. Admissin and Financial Plicies 3. Cnditins f Admissins fr New Students 3.1 Enrlment f new students The enrlment f a new student is cnfirmed by payment f: 1. The applicatin fee, t be paid at the time f applicatin; 2. The entrance fee, t be paid when yur child is accepted; 3. Payment f schl tuitin (there are 2 payments in the year, nce befre September 1 st and nce befre February 1 st ); 4. Schl insurance certificate 3.2 Discntinuatin f the enrlment Parents need t ntify the schl as sn as pssible if the student will be departing, by registered letter t: Rainbw Schl Paris 7 avenue Charleburg 92250, La Garenne Clmbes, France In the case f discntinuatin f the enrlment, the financial cnsequences are as fllws: The applicatin fee and entrance fees are nn-refundable; The schl fees are due in full (bth in September and February), and we d nt refund any part f these fees if the child leaves befre the schl year ends. 4. Schl Fees 4.1 Schl Fees The student is enrlled in the schl fr the entire schl year. Fees may be paid yearly r bi-yearly. The fees shuld be paid befre the 1 st f September and then again befre the 1 st f February. If we have nt received payment by these dates, yur child s spt will be ffered t a family n the waiting list. 4.2 Arrival during the curse f the year Fr students enrlling during the schl year, schl fees will be inviced depending n the student s arrival date. Schl supplies will have t be cvered as well. 4.3 Cnditins f payment Schl fees and ptinal charges are t be paid in tw payments (befre September 1 st and befre February 1 st ). Hwever, families wishing t pay fr the whle schl year are able t d s as well, as lng as it is befre September 1 st. Schl insurance has t be prvided by the parents n r befre the first day yur child starts. It needs t state sclaire et extra-sclaire insurance. Cheque, bank transfer, and cash may be used fr payment. Yu may find ur bank transfer details at the bttm f each invice and it can als be btained frm the administratin. 11 An applicatin cannt prceed t the applicatin review stage until the file is fully cmplete, and this includes payment f the applicatin fee, which is nn-refundable. Applicatin materials shuld be sent in hard cpy via pst/express mail service t the schl address. Yu may send it electrnically ( scan) t cntactus@rainbwschlparis.cm AND ffice@rainbwschlparis.cm as well. 4.4 Reductin f schl fees N reductin in schl fees is made fr early payment. Absence frm schl due t schl-rganised trips will nt result in a reductin f tuitin fees. 4.5 Departure in the curse f the year In the case f departure f a student in the curse f the schl year, and fr whatever reasn, families are required t infrm the schl ne mnth befre the departure date, by registered letter. N refund fr prrated fees will be made. 5. Civil Respnsibility 5.1 Damage t Prperty Families are financially respnsible fr any damage dne by their children t the schl premises r equipment. 7 av.
