From Left to right Shihan Dustin Baldis, USA National Coach and Pan- American Games Coach, Shihan Herb Wiles the USOC Coach of the Year, and developed 20 Team USA athletes, Sensei Maile Chinen- Koncal Pan-Am Games Bronze Medalist 3x WKC World Champion, WKO World Champion, Ambassador Sensei Gene Tibon inducted into 11 Hall of Fames developed 60 athletes Team USA, Sensei Wayne Shockness SKIF World Champion and Community Volunteer for athlete youth development funding many athletes around the world. Sensei Charles Dangerfield a Tibon s Goju Ryu Black Belt a 2 nd Degree Black Belt, most famous Kumite Match was between him and Sensei Andre Tippett NFL Hall of Fame New England Patriots 5- time Pro bowl player at the internationals in Las Vegas, the tournament stopped for all to watch during that match, which Charles ended up winning, and making the front page of the Stockton Record, While at DVI Charles also served as a member and subsequently Commander of the Special Emergency Response Team (CDC's SWAT.) From 1999 to 2003 Charles promoted to Special Agent and worked as a member of the Office of Internal Affairs Deadly Force Investigation Team. Charles concluded his CDC journey working within the Office of Correctional Safety (OCS- CDC's street law enforcement branch.) While in OCS Charles was assigned to work the streets as a Special Agent and Senior Special Agent in California's Bay Area. Charles was appointed to the position of Chief of OCS in 2013 by California Governor Jerry Brown. Charles retired from CDC after serving over 28 years in April of 2015.
