In second was Caroline Phillips Anthony Richter in third. 1: Peter Vanderhorst 2: Caroline Phillips 3: Anthony Richter Race 26: Donbing Liu from Queensland started strongly and opted for the lead early into the race. Alison Throssel and her club-mate, Christopher Robson tailed him. Donbing Liu drifted out further in front with just under 800 metres to go, but Christopher Robson shadowed him carefully. The Queenslander could not shake Robson off for the remaining laps but just held on at the finish line to win by the barest of margins. Alison Throssell finished well behind them in third.

7 1: Donbing Liu 2: Christopher Robson 3: Alison Throssell Race 27: Eric De Haas was out of the blocks early and led until the 500-metre mark, when he was overtaken by Frank Anderson and Russell Collins.
