In recent ears, our countr economic development tendenc was encouraging, and the speed of catching up with developed countries is faster and faster. Athletics sports result is better than other countries at Olmpic Games hold in Beijing. Rapid economic growth is clearl to promote the development of sports. This paper will establish a multiple regression model b gold medals and weighted total medals to analze the economic factors which affect the Olmpic medals. Kewords: economic factors, Olmpic medal.. Introduction Chinese sports delegation made gold MEDALS and 0 MEDALS in Beijing Olmpic Games in 00. It is the first time for China to get No. instead of America. It is the best achievement to China since we take part in the Olmpic Games. It is also a surmounting for China to advance to the modern Olmpics movement powerful nation. It is affirmation to the Chinese sports development and also a great contribution to modern Olmpics movement b Chinese nation. We break the record that the gold or medal is zero in man projects. This result has roused the national spirit enormousl, and unfolded Chinese's sports strength to the common people. At the same time, we can not help but consider what factors are promoting our grow behind this achievement? What factors associated with the strength of a countr's sports competition? This article in view of this fact is going to analze the contact between national sports scores and various factors b multiple regression model. The Olmpic Games event is numerous and there do not have the direct absolute inde to weight countr result. Then the medal number ma show the question to a certain etent. This paper will establish a multiple regression model b gold medals and weighted total medals to analze the economic factors which affect the Olmpic medals.. The choice of data and economic factors We first check the information on the 00 Beijing Olmpic Games, reorganizes as follows: Table medals won situation of 00 countr gold silver bronze Total medals China 0 America England German Australia South Korea Japan Italia France 0 Ukraine The Dutch Spain Canada Brazil New Zealand Published b World Academic Press, World Academic Union

As we all know, econom is the primar factor to influence the development of competitive sports. So we first consider the countr's gross domestic product. The Olmpic Games are held ever four ears, so we calculate four ears GNP sum between two Olmpics. But during the computation, we find the gross national product and various countries' Olmpic Games result have no linear relationship nearl. So we decide to use gross national product's average annual rate of growth and the industr and agriculture produces and another factors as independent variable to analze. We chose countries to have a discussion. In the table, industrial output inde is on the base of agricultural inde, 0 per capita agricultural inde is the base of total output value for 000 inde. The data of population densit and health and social work personnel quantit is from 00. Human Development Inde is a measure of human development which is the average achievements in three aspects of a comprehensive inde: Health and longevit of life (with birth life epectanc to represent); Knowledge using adult literac rate and large middle and primar school to represent); A decent living standards (with measured at purchasing power parit method to calculate the per capita GDP to represent). On this basis, we use the weighted average method to calculate the inde of the three areas, then average the three indees. Education inde is one of the three component indees which published b the United Nations development program. It measured b adult literac rate (/ weight) and elementar school, high school, college comprehensive enrollment rate (/ weight). SSci for contribution: editor@ssci.org.uk

This article analzes the contact between medals and economic factors b multiple linear regression analsis. China is a developing nation of the world, we should pa attention to various aspects when the economic takes off. Sports is one hand which can also show our new look and comprehensive national strength.
