2 2017 CANADIAN MASTERS WEIGHTLIFTING CHAMPIONSHIPS On behalf of the Championships Organizing committee, Winfield Curling Club, Vikings Weightlifting Club, the Canadian Masters Weightlifting Federation and the province of British Columbia, I am honoured to welcome all Masters Weightlifters, Coaches, Officials, family and friends to beautiful Lake Country, British Columbia to take part in the 2017 Canadian Masters Weightlifting Championships. 3 DATE: May 13 14, 2017 VENUE: Winfield Curling Club 9830 Bottom Woodlake Rd. Lake Country, BC ATHLETE WEIGH-IN AND START TIMES: Weigh-in and start times will be announced on the Canadian Masters weightlifting website immediately following the April 21, 2017 cut-off date. However, the competition s anticipated start time is tentatively set for May 13, :00am. It is the responsibility of the athletes and coaches to routinely visit the CMWF website for updates and changes. ATHLETE ELIGIBILITY: Open to athletes (male and female) 30 years of age or older, registered and in good standing with both the CMWF and their respective Provincial Association. CONTESTED EVENTS: Snatch + Clean and Jerk.

4 ANTI-DOPING: AWARDS: Please note that any athlete competing at any CMWF sanctioned competition is subject to testing as per the CMWF Anti-Doping Policy. The policy guidelines can be reviewed at; Medals will be awarded for first, second, and third place finish in each age category of each weight class. Best Lifter Award criteria will be announced at the Technical Meeting. EQUIPMENT: ELEIKO for Competition + Warm Up 8 Warm Up Platforms REGISTRATION COST: $ CAD per athlete (non-refundable) payable to the Canadian Masters Weightlifting Federation through PayPal on the Canadian Masters website: Registration includes Banquet Sunday, May 14 **Extra Banquet Tickets - $25 (to be paid at the venue) REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Registrations including payment to the Canadian Masters Weightlifting Federation must be submitted no later than; April 21, 2017 Furthermore, a cap of 120 CMWF athletes Registrants will be accepted on a first come first served basis.
