5 OUR HISTORY. It all started in Toronto, Canada in 1985 when Dr Maureen Johnston, the Founder of the World Masters Games conceived the idea of the World Corporate Games. hi! She saw that there was a need for a project that offered everyone of every age and ability the chance to play sport on a worldwide basis, represent a team, wear its colours and be proud to be part of a multi-sport festival for Businesses, Organisations, Institutions, Clubs, Societies or of every size and kind. The Corporate Games Organisation was born, a company dedicated to bringing global sport competition within the reach of everyone. In 2010, Pierre Marcout, the founder of Prisme International, one of the leading event agencies in the world, acquired the company. He infused it with renewed energy, creativity, and strategic direction, bringing along more than 20 years of experience in the organisation and management of high profile events.

PIERRE MARCOUT. Pierre Marcout started his first management role in 1981 for the Sonepar Group, overseeing the lighting of large-scale buildings.

His first large scale show was in 1993 for the inauguration of the Mosque Hassan II in Casablanca, followed by the spectacular show called L aube des temps, for the G7 Opening Ceremony in Lyon, which

6 PIERRE MARCOUT. Pierre Marcout started his first management role in 1981 for the Sonepar Group, overseeing the lighting of large-scale buildings. In 1987 he created the company Prisme 3 in association with GL Events, based in Lyon. His first large scale show was in 1993 for the inauguration of the Mosque Hassan II in Casablanca, followed by the spectacular show called L aube des temps, for the G7 Opening Ceremony in Lyon, which was created for a crowd of over 200,000 spectators. The show incorporated 250 performers including the Lyon Philharmonic Orchestra with 90 musicians and world-renowned artists Andrea Bocceli, Vanessa Mae and Deep Forest. In 1997, Marcout brought Prisme to Dubai to discover a rapidly growing region in need of creativity, innovation and value was a breakthrough year that culminated in the inauguration of the Burj Khalifa. 15 years after, he decided to bring the Corporate Games to the region under the patronage of Sheikh Nahayan bin Mubarak Al Nahayan, UAE Minister for Higher Education. Passionate about entertainment, sport and creativity, Corporate Games is the perfect combination of this vision. The company was awarded the best Sporting Event in UAE and became one of the leader s in the Sport Events and Team Buildings industry mixing creativity and entertainment. Pierre's vision become his reality, Corporate Games is a true success.
