2 Last Month 1st October 2017 Lancaster Bomber Memorial Service 9 Riders joined the well-attended service on a blustery and changeable day, with 1 rider showing promising trials riding skills on the muddy track. 7th October 2017 Ride To The Wall 8 Riders travelled from the Friendly Farmer at Newark and joined others at the NMA for this event. 15th October 2017 Swadlincote Ride of Remembrance 2 Riders attended this event from Lincolnshire. 3 21st October 2017 Lincolnshire Poppy Appeal Celebration 27 Bikes attended this event and were again well received by all, even having 2 Riders invited to take part in the opening ceremony. 27th October 2017 Lincolnshire Poppy Appeal Launch 7 Riders and 1 Guest attended on 6 bikes and were again thanked by the County for being there. NOVEMBER 1st November 2017 Lincolnshire Monthly Meet As usual we will be at The Blacksmiths Arms in Bracebridge Heath from 19:30. In the Lounge. 4th & 5th November 2017 AMCA Skegness Beach Races The AMCA are holding Beach Races at Skegness again this year and have asked for our help selling programmes as in previous years. The AMCA have in the past given 50p of each program sold to the Poppy Appeal. We are required on Saturday from 09:45 to approx. 14:00 and Sunday 10:30 to approx. 14:00 Parking is in Princess Parade Car Park off South Parade at the South End of the Boating Lake. ( South from the clock Tower ) Names of Volunteers to me please 5 th November 2017 Jenny s Wood Remembrance Service All are invited to a Remembrance service in Jenny s Wood, 122 West End Rd, Wyberton, Boston PE21 7LP from 10:30. 6th November 2017 Derby & Nott s Meet & Greet 19:00 at Shirland Miners Welfare, Shirland, Alfreton, DE55 6BA. Food if required is: - Lasagne & Chips for 3.50 which need to be ordered by 2 nd November 10th November 2017 Boston, Opening of Remembrance Garden Boston RBL have invited the Riders to attend the Opening of The Remembrance Garden on the 10th November at 10:30. I propose to meet at B&Q Boston, PE21 7JD at 09:15 for a Ride in departing 10:00. Names of Attendees to me please 11th November 2017 Boston Remembrance Service Boston RBL have invited the Riders to attend the Service of Remembrance at the Memorial in Wide Bargate, Boston on the 11th November at 10:30. I propose to meet at B&Q Boston, PE21 7JD at 09:15 for a Ride in departing 10:00. Names of Attendees to me please 12th November 2017 Stamford Remembrance Parade The Riders branch has again been invited to attend Stamford Parade on 12th November 2017 I would suggest that those wishing to attend meet as per previous years McDonalds in Ryhall Road PE9 1TX at for a ride to the town centre. 5 19th November 2017 Sunday Brunch Meet at the WAVE for followed by a ride if weather permits 25th November 2017 Riders Branch AGM Starting time: Once again to be held at the RBL Club at Oldbury. If it's as good and moving as the last 2 years, it's not to be missed. The Venue is:- Stanhope Hall, Boston Road, Horncastle, LN9 6NF 20 th & 21 st January 2018 Springfields Bike Show, Spalding We are again going to have a stand at this event and would appreciate any help to man the stand even if only for a short amount of time. Springfields Events Centre, Camelgate, Spalding, Lincolnshire, PE12 6ET Free parking Gates open at 10am Guest stars on both days will be Gary & William Dunlop. 7 SERVICES Halo Smart Protect is a unique treatment system developed and supplied by All Year Biker. We all know winter road salt is a killer for bikes, but here are a few things you might not be aware of: During the rest of the year environmental fall-out, sea spray and even animal waste can cause corrosion. In certain conditions animal waste on the roads can be up to 3 times more corrosive than road salt. Washing alone will not prevent corrosion, in fact trapped cleaning water can often start the process. Corrosion rarely starts where you can see it but once established it can spread alarmingly fast. There is now a Lincolnshire based Operative so you can have your bike treated without having to travel miles.
