2 2nd November 2016 Lincolnshire Monthly Meet As usual we will be at The Blacksmiths Arms in Bracebridge Heath from 19:30. Outside if weather is good or otherwise in the Lounge. 5 th & 6 th November 2016 Skegness Beach Races The Riders Branch has again been asked to attend and sell Programmes on both days. Saturday 09:45 to 14:00 Sunday 10:30 to 14:00 RV in Princes Parade Car Park, off South Parade at Southern end of the boating lake. PE25 1AB The Organisers have generously offered part of the sales to the RBLR Poppy Appeal in previous years and have said they will do again this year. 11 th November 2016 Opening of Remembrance Gardens & Armistice Service, Boston 19 th November 2016 End of Somme Battle Commemoration, Lincoln We have been invited to attend this Service at the Museum of Lincolnshire Life in Lincoln. (Old Barracks, Burton Road, Lincoln, LN1 3LY) The Service starts at 10:00 20 th November 2016 Sunday Brunch Meet at the WAVE for followed by a ride if weather permits Starting time: th November 2016 Riders Branch AGM Once again to be held at the RBL Club at Oldbury, Windsor Road, Oldbury, West Midlands, B68 8NY We have been invited to attend this service by Boston RBL Branch. RV at B&Q Boston (New Hammond Road, Boston PE21 7JD) 09:15 for a ride in at 10:00. The Burger Bar opens about 09:30 if anybody wants a breakfast bap. 13 th November 2016 Remembrance Parade, Stamford We have again been invited to attend this service by Stamford RBL Branch, who always look forward to seeing us. 19 th November 2016 Post AGM Party For people who are stopping after the AGM. 3 21 st & 22 nd January 2017 Springfields Bike Show, Spalding We are again going to have a stand at this event and would appreciate any help to man the stand even if only for a short amount of time. 9 th - 10 th September 2017 RAF Scampton Air Show Scampton Air show will be an exciting, two-day, family friendly airs how, taking place over 9-10 September 2017 at RAF Scampton, the home of the Red Arrows Springfields Events Centre, Camelgate, Spalding, Lincolnshire, PE12 6ET Adults: 7 Children (5-15): 3 Free parking Gates open at 10am Guest star on both days will be Ian Hutchinson. 4 SERVICES Halo Smart Protect is a unique treatment system developed and supplied by All Year Biker. We all know winter road salt is a killer for bikes, but here are a few things you might not be aware of: During the rest of the year environmental fall-out, sea spray and even animal waste can cause corrosion. In certain conditions animal waste on the roads can be up to 3 times more corrosive than road salt. Washing alone will not prevent corrosion, in fact trapped cleaning water can often start the process. Corrosion rarely starts where you can see it but once established it can spread alarmingly fast. There is now a Lincolnshire based Operative so you can have your bike treated without having to travel miles.
