3 7 th July 2018 Bakewell Carnival 9 Lincolnshire Riders made the trip to this event and took part in the Parade. The Organisers gave me a cheque for to donate to the Poppy Appeal and asked for the Riders to attend next year. Page 3 of 17

4 7 th July 2018 AMRR Cambridge At least 3 Lincolnshire Riders attended this event. 15 th July 2018 Sunday Brunch After a well-attended Brunch, 6 Riders decided to go on one of my magical mystery tours to Mablethorpe where we were forced to have Ice Cream. Page 4 of 17

6 25 th July 2018 Sutton on Sea Bike Night ATTENDANCE CANCELLED 27th to 29th July 2018 Leathered in Lincoln Rally 12th August 2018 We ll Meet Again Museum, Frieston Myself and one other attended this event on a rather wet and windy day, using the gazebo belonging to Boston Branch. The public were very generous, and we collected Riders attended the event and manned a gazebo with RBL Merchandise. The raised for the Poppy Appeal. Page 6 of 17

7 18th August 2018 Lincolnshire RBL County Event at Museum of Lincolnshire Life 6 Riders attended this event at the invite of the County. Upcoming Events Events with an Orange background to the header are the ones we have been invited to attend. SEPTEMBER 1 st & 2 nd September 2018 East Midlands Region VC Run Many will be aware that members from region are planning to visit the resting places of those who, through there gallantry were awarded the Victoria Cross. 8 9th September 2018 Wickenby Airfield Memorial Service We have again been asked to attend this event and display our bikes before the service. The Café will be open for breakfast if you require one. See poster at end for further details. Names of Volunteers to me please 16 th September 2018 Battle of Britain Parade, Boston Meet in St. Botolph s Church, Boston, The Stump 1120hrs on Sunday 16th Sept. Small pay and display car park at the rear. Service then march past by RAF Coningsby, Boston Cadet Units, etc. and hopefully a fly-past. 16 th September 2018 Sunday Brunch Meet at the WAVE for followed by a ride if weather permits 23 rd September 2018 Linc s & Notts Air Ambulance Day 3RD ANNUAL RIDE TO SAVE LIVES Join our ride out today for per bike and help us save more lives. The scenic 62 mile route starts at Newark Showground on September 23, 2018, at 11am travelling through beautiful rural villages in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. The ride returns to Newark Showground for around 1pm, where you can grab some lunch and have the opportunity to meet our crew as the helicopter plans to fly in around 1.30pm. The Pub serves food until 20:00 and you could make an evening of it. 6 th October 2018 Ride To The Wall RTTW is a unique motorcycling event which gives motorcyclists an opportunity to gather together at a place of remembrance, to pay their respects to our serving and fallen service men and women and in doing so, raise funds solely for perpetuating their memory and recognising the sacrifice made. 9 7 th October 2018 Lancaster Bomber Memorial Service SIBSEY LANCASTER MEMORIAL TRUST Annual Memorial Service in the field Sunday 7 th October 2.30pm Commemorating the Crew of Lancaster ED 503 No. 9 Squadron Sibsey Northlands in the field (approx. PE22 0UF) look out for direction signs Everyone welcome and please come back to Sibsey Village Hall for free refreshments; this event is free with free parking and a free bus from Tattershall Market Place at 1.30pm The Lancaster had been confirmed to perform at fly past and we are hopeful that the issues with the Merlin engine will be solved by October. In 1943 a Lancaster aircraft crashed in a field at Sibsey Northland killing all members of the crew. One member of the crew was recovered and he is buried in Scotland... The aircraft and men are buried where they fell; the ground was too marshy to allow any recovery. I am proposing an RV in the Car Park outside the New England Hotel n Wide Bargate, Boston, ( 49 Wide Bargate, Boston PE21 6SH ) 13:00 for 13:30 departure to Sibsey Northlands. 27 th October 2018 Lincolnshire Poppy Appeal Celebration The Launch of Lincolnshire s Poppy Appeal is held at Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre in East Kirkby every year combining a Service with Lancaster taxy runs. The Service starts at I am proposing to RV as last year at the Royal Oak, Tattershall Bridge for 09:00-09:30 for Breakfast. We will then proceed to East Kirkby at 10:15 for a 10:40 arrival at the Heritage Centre. Lancaster taxy run at 2.00pm Names of Attendees to me please along with who wants Breakfast. 10 NOVEMBER 3 rd November 2018 East Kirkby - Lancaster Night Taxy Run and Firework Display One of the County's biggest firework displays, and a night taxy run with Avro Lancaster NX611 at 7.00pm. Feel the atmosphere of a WW2 airfield at night. This year s fireworks will see the culmination of many years experience here at the Centre giving us 5 th November 2018 Derby & Nott s Meet & Greet 19:00 at Shirland Miners Welfare, Shirland, Alfreton, DE55 6BA. Food if required is: -????????????? for 3.50 which need to be ordered by 1 st November 7 th November 2018 Lincolnshire Monthly Meet As usual we will be at the Fox & Hounds, Newark Road, Lincoln, LN6 9SP. 19:30 for 20:00 start. The Pub serves food until 20:00 and you could make an evening of it. the best display we have ever had. Not only will you be able to see the fireworks you will also be able to feel their power as they explode and cascade in the skies over this very historic location. This is possibly our best value event as you can join us for 11 hours experiencing the Lancaster taxy runs at day and night, enjoy a hog roast, play with glow sticks, watch a WW2 German Searchlight and most importantly build memories for years to come with the biggest firework display at the Centre. 9 th November 2018 Boston, Opening of Remembrance Garden Boston RBL have invited the Riders to attend the Opening of The Remembrance Garden on the 10th November at 10:30. 11 10 th & 11 th November 2018 AMCA Skegness Beach Races The AMCA are holding Beach Races at Skegness again this year and have asked for our help selling programmes as in previous years. The AMCA have in the past given 50p of each program sold to the Poppy Appeal. We are required on Saturday from 09:45 to approx. 14:00 and Sunday 10:30 to approx. 14:00 Parking is in Princess Parade Car Park off South Parade at the South End of the Boating Lake. We all know winter road salt is a killer for bikes, but here are a few things you might not be aware of: During the rest of the year environmental fall-out, sea spray and even animal waste can cause corrosion. In certain conditions animal waste on the roads can be up to 3 times more corrosive than road salt.
