If you have any General Queries - please phone ******************************** THREE ENTRY FORMS: Home Baking - Group A Culinary - Group A All other Sections - Groups B, C, D & E Entry Forms are available to download from the Gore A & P Assn website - GENERAL RULES: 1. All entries are taken on the Friday afternoon only, unless otherwise stated. The judging is done on Friday evening. Photography and Pet Corner entries are taken on show morning, and judged that day. 2. All entries are PER ENTRY EXHIBITED. Adults $1.00 and Children 50 cents. 3. All exhibits are entered at exhibitor's own risk. 4. Exhibitors may put more than one entry in a class, in any other section - but, not in Home Baking or Culinary. Each entry to be paid for. 5. Marshal s may move an exhibit to a more appropriate class, if so needed. 6. All persons - (except Marshals, Stewards and Judges)must leave the judging area before judging commences. 7. In all sections the decision of the Judges are final. 8. Trophies, vouchers, sponsored goods, tickets and special merit certificates (where applicable) will be awarded. 9. ALL TROPHIES are to be returned cleaned with silver polish to the Marshal in charge of the section concerned on the Friday afternoon prior to Show Day. If you are unable to bring your trophy back, please arrange for another person to return it. 10. It would be appreciated if all entry forms could be filled in prior to presenting to the desk of each section. One entry form - per person in each section. These can be photocopied for other family members, or where an exhibitor is entering in more than one section. This is also a record for each section. 11. PRIZES: Prize tickets will be awarded to exhibitors in each class (if up to standard). 1 st, 2 nd, and 3 rd. (If 1 st equal, - no 2 nd awarded). Please be aware this may vary in each section. Also either a Fourth or Very Highly Commended and Highly Commended will be awarded, if the Judge deems a need to award in the Adult sections, in the Adult sections, but especially in the Children s and Teenage sections. 12. Entries will be taken from 3.30pm until 6.30pm - on Friday, 3rd February 2017 in the Hokonui Pavilion, Gore Showgrounds, off Bury Street, Gore. NO LATE ENTRIES ACCEPTED AFTER THIS TIME. 13. Presentation of prizes will take place in the Hokonui Pavilion - at 4.00pm on Saturday, 4th February PLEASE MAKE SURE ALL ENTRIES AND PRIZE MONEY ARE TAKEN AWAY AFTER THE PRESENTATION. 15. RULES: Home Baking - All Sections All entries must be done by the exhibitor. Baking may be cut or broken in half and tested by the Judge or Judges. The OPEN BAKING SECTION is open from ages 18 years and over. The NOVICE BAKING SECTION is open from ages from 18 years and over - is a new addition to the Baking Schedule - please do support this! - To a person who has not won a prize in any Baking Section before at this Show. The MEN S BAKING SECTION - a new addition to the Baking Schedule - for 18 years and over. The TEENAGE BAKING SECTION is for 13 to 17 years a new addition to the Baking Schedule, for High School Students. No adult help in this section. 1
2 The JUNIOR BAKING SECTION is for 5 to 12 years. No adult help in this section please. Merit Certificates: For overall winners, (1 st - 2 nd - and 3 rd) in - Open, Novice, Men s Section, and Junior, and Teenage Baking Sections where applicable. PLEASE NOTE: Also, there will be a JUDGE S CHOICE of any baking or culinary entry. If any exhibitor wins a Trophy three years in succession - they may not exhibit for two years. MEN: This is for exhibitors for ages - from 18 years and over. JUNIOR: This is for exhibitors who are school age from 5 years to 12 years of age - primary, and intermediate school age. TEENAGE: This is for exhibitors who are school age from 13 years to 17 years of age. PLEASE NOTE: Final Presentation at 4.00pm on Saturday, 4 February. All other winners will receive their Certificates at the Steward s desk after the final presentation, along with their marked sponsored prizes.
