The Hoosiers and Spartans will tip at approximately 8:30 p.m. ET or approximately 5 minutes after the 6 p.m. ET game concludes. The game will air live on BTN with Tom Hart,Stephanie White and Lisa Byington with the call. The contest can also be heard on WHCC FM in Bloomington with Jeremy Gray behind the mic. DID YOU KNOW? Indiana is all-time in the Big Ten Tournament and won the tournament championship for the first time in 00. Head Coach Felisha Legette-Jack is 3- all-time in opening games of the Big Ten Tournament while at the helm of the Indiana program. Indiana as a program overall is 10-7 in opening games of the tournament. Thursday s meeting with Michigan State will only be the second meeting between the Hoosiers in Spartans in Big Ten Tournament play, MSU won in that matchup, 88-69, on Feb. 6, Junior Aulani Sinclair led the Hoosiers in scoring in four of the final five games of the regular season, averaging 18.0 points and 4.8 rebounds during that span. Redshirt junior Sasha Chaplin scored in double-figures in each of the last two games, including a teamhigh 15 at Purdue on Feb. 6. Chaplin has hit 9-consecutive free throws heading into the Big Ten Tournament, which ranks her fourth on Indiana s all-time list for consecutive free throws made in a season. Sophomore Andrea Newbauer has had five or more assists in nine games this season, which includes a career-high 10 which she had against Wisconsin on Feb. 3. The capital city of the Hoosier state has played host to the tournament every year except one since The tournament has crowned six different conference champions, including Indiana in 00. 8 HOOSIER NOTABLES YES SHE CAN-DYCE Freshman Candyce Ussery did not let playing on the road against a ranked foe faze her on Feb. 6 at Purdue. Ussery scored a career-high 10 points in that game, shooting 4-of-7 from the field, including 1-of-1 from beyond the arc. She also added two rebounds and a steal. The St. Louis, Mo., native appeared in all 9 games this season and scored eight or more points in two of the last three games. CITY LIGHTS UP ON SENIOR NIGHT Indiana senior forward Danilsa City Andujar saved one her best games for her last one played at Assembly Hall on Feb. 3 against Wisconsin. Andujar tied career-highs of 1 points and 13 rebounds to accomplish her fourth double-double of the season and the fifth of her career. With the game tied with 3. seconds to play, Andujar stepped to the line and nailed two clutch free throws to lift IU over the Badgers, She shot 5-of-9 from the field and added two blocks and two steals. Andujar has now started in 55 games during her career at Indiana, including 0 games this season and has appeared in 105 contests overall in her career. The senior has led the Hoosiers in rebounding in eight games this season. GETTING TO THE GLASS In five of the last six games, Indiana has had more offensive rebounds than its opponents and have outscored its foes in second chance points. At Purdue on Feb. 6, IU outrebounded the Boilermakers overall, 39-34, including winning the offensive glass battle, The Hoosiers also topped Purdue in second-chance points, Indiana finished the regular season ranked first in the Big Ten with 16. offensive rebounds per game. McGhee has led Indiana in scoring the entire season and will finish her season averaging 1.6 points per game. The junior appeared in 6 games this season, starting in 3 contests. The Anderson, Ind., native tallied double-figure points in 14 games this season and led IU in the scoring column in nine contests. She scored 0 or more points on three occasions, including a game where she set career-highs of 7 points and 15 rebounds at IUPUI on Dec. 11. McGhee also accomplished two double-doubles this year. MCCURTY NAMED BIG TEN FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK ON JAN. Quaneisha McCurty was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week by the conference office on Jan.. McCurty is the first Indiana women s basketball player to earn the honor. The 6-6 freshman averaged a near double-double in IU s two games that week with 11.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 5.0 blocks per contest. In Indiana s win over Texas A&M Corpus Christi on Dec. 7, McCurty scored 17 points with eight rebounds and five blocks. In that game, she shot 7-of-13 from the field including 3-of-5 from 3-point range. Against Michigan State in IU s Big Ten opener, she recorded a team-high 10 rebounds, while adding five blocks and five points. JONES TO MISS THE REMAINDER OF SEASON Senior Georgie Jones will miss the remainder of the season. The team captain tore her anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in her right knee during Indiana s game at Virginia on Dec. 1. Through six games this year, Jones averaged 8.8 points and 8. rebounds per game. The St. Paul, Minn., native accomplished three double-doubles in that time, including tying a career-high with 16 points and adding 13 rebounds vs. Murray State on Nov. 14. LEGETTE-JACK SIGNS TWO NEW HOOSIERS FOR 01 Indiana head women s basketball coach Felisha Legette-Jack announced the signing of two 01 recruits to national letters of intent to play at IU as the November signing period takes place. The new Hoosiers are Haley Videckis out of Barlett High School in Bartlett, Ill. and Brittany Webb, a senior out of Heritage Christian High School in Indianapolis. Haley Videckis Bartlett, Ill./Bartlett High School, 6-0, G/F Videckis, a 6-0 Bartlett High School senior, led the Hawks to a 8- record during the season while averaging 10.4 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. She led the team in 3-point field goals made connecting on 41 during her junior campaign. Videckis is a two-time All-Upstate Eight Conference selection and a twotime Daily Herald All-Area player. Haley is a fantastic student-athlete who can absolutely shoot from long distance, Legette-Jack said. Her upside is immeasurable. I love our future with Haley as a part of it. I am so glad she will be a Hoosier. Brittany Webb Whiteland, Ind./Heritage Christian, 5-4, PG Webb, a senior point guard at Heritage Christian High School, averaged 14.7 points, 3.6 assists and 1.9 steals per game during her junior year, leading her squad to an 18-5 record. Webb is ranked as the No. 13 point guard in the country according to ESPNHoopGurlz.com. She was a part of the 009 Eagle team who won the IHSAA Class 1A State Championship and finished the season with a 6-1 record, and as a sophomore helped Heritage Christian to a sectional championship. I would love to schedule the 1 point guards that are ahead of this competitive Hoosier, Legette-Jack said. I think that she would fare quite well. I love the fact that Brittany s dream school is IU. She is a pure point guard who is tough as nails. I am so glad she will be a Hoosier as she has been one her entire life.
