The Lady Tigers lead the overall series Campbellsville has won the previous six games - with three of those victories by four points or less. In the Ginger Colvin and Jeremy Lewis eras, Campbellsville holds a 7-3 edge in the series. The Lady Tigers are also out-scoring Cumberland in the series, 65 ppg - 59 ppg. Both teams have met only once in the postseason, with Cumberland winning its first MSC championship, 59-46, in the year - its first year as a conference member since moving to the Trans South Conference after the season. Since the Phoenix re-entered the conference, the Lady Tigers lead the series 6-3. Campbellsville is 5-0 in Colvin s tenure while playing at home against Cumberland. LTB won the first-ever matchup in the season, Tiger Clawz CU is coming off its first loss of the season to No. 2 Westmont. Four of the Lady Tigers six wins have come on neutral courts. CU defeated Harris-Stowe and Hiwassee in the Bethel University Chamber Classic to open the season, beat Bluefield State College on Nov. 12 at University of Pikeville and John Brown at the Jackson Rotary Classic last weekend. The Lady Tigers rank No. 8 by allowing opponents to hit only 23.5 percent from deep. After coming back from an ACL injury last season, LeeAnn Grider ranks No. 3 with 6.2 assists per game and No. 10 with an assist/turnover ratio of 3.6. Madison Clements has scored in double figures every game this year and leads CU by averaging 15.8 points per game. She scored a season-high 23 points vs. Talladega on Monday, Nov. 21. Last season, Campbellsville finished with a 27-9 record and 10-4 inside the MSC. The Lady Tigers battled their way into the NAIA Quarterfinals for the 10th time in program history before falling to Benedictine, Lady Tigers earn split at Jackson Rotary Classic Lady Tiger basketball picked up a win over John Brown in the opening game of the Jackson Rotary Classic but fell to No. 2 Westmont in the finale. Against John Brown, CU shot a frigid 25 percent in the first half but countered that by firing 54 in the second half. Playing in the inaugural Jackson Rotary Classic at historic Oman Arena, it was a totally different team for CU in each half. The Lady Tigers trailed and only hit 8-of-31 shots, while John Brown drilled six 3-pointers in the opening half. Coming out of the break, though, CU would score 28 points six more points than it did in the entire first half. Emily Fox gave CU its first lead with 5:49 left in the third quarter with one of her four 3-pointers. She finished with a team-high 14 points along with sophomore Jordan Doram, who also grabbed a career-high 13 boards for her first double-double. Against Westmont, the Lady Tigers couldn t overcome just hitting six field goals and shooting 22 percent in the second half. The Lady Tigers came out on fire and took an lead after the first quarter. CU finished with eight made baskets in that first frame (8-of-14) and scored 16 of its 18 points in the paint. The second and third quarters were the total opposite, though. Westmont out-scored CU 16-9 in the second period and knotted the game at 27 going into halftime. Fourteen of the top NAIA Women s Basketball Teams from across the country will be playing seven games on Friday, Nov. the 25th and seven games on Saturday the 26th starting at 9:30 a.m. ET each morning. Thirteen of the squads are ranked in the Top 25, while one team received votes in the poll. Seven teams are ranked in the Top 10. The following teams are participating in the Classic - No 1 MidAmerica Nazarene, No. 2 Westmont, No. 3 Our Lady of the Lake, No. 4 Campbellsville, No. 6 Vanguard, No. 8 Freed-Hardeman, No. 10 Bethel, No. 16 Montana State Northern, No. 18 Great Falls, No. 20 Columbia, No. 21 Talladega, No. 23 Cumberland, No. 25 Carroll and John Brown (RV). Fox has proved to be one of the best shooters in history Emily Fox transferred to CU from Austin Peay and once her Lady Tiger career started in Janury 2015, she worked herself into one of the best shooters in the MSC. Fox has hit five 3-pointers in two games this season and made four in another. She is hitting 43% from downtown and ranks No. 4 in the NAIA by making 3.6 per game. Last season, Fox also led the NAIA by hitting 110 total 3s. Fox earned First-Team All-Conference honors and was named Player of the Week on Dec. 7. In addition, WBCA All-American Honorable Mention along with being named an NAIA All-American Honorable Mention. Clements hasn t missed a beat after redshirt season After getting injured in the first game of the season last year, it took a lot of convincing for Madison Clements to redshirt. But the move paid off because she is better than ever after getting 100 percent healthy. Clements plays the third-most minutes on the team and is averaging almost 18 points per game. Clements is shooting the lights out by hitting 44 percent from 3-point land (14-of-32) and ranking No. 22 in the NAIA by making 2.8 triples per game. In five games this season, Clements has hit four 3s in a game once and three triples twice. She has hit multiple 3s in every game. In addition, she is also averaging four rebounds per game. Grider is overcoming mental aspects of ACL injury After a grueling summer of rehabbing an ACL injury, Grider hasn t missed a beat. She is averaging the second-most minutes per game (25.0) and is one of the pest point guards in the NAIA. Currently ranks No. 9 in the country with 34 assists and No. 3 by averaging 6.8 dimes per game. The turnover rate has dropped as well, ranking No. 7 in assist-to-turnover ratio (4.8). She currently is tied with head coach Ginger High Colvin with the most assists in a single game (15 vs. Lindsey Wilson in 2015). Coming into the season she ranked No. 5 in program history with 501 career assists - just 91 shy of second place. She has a ways to go to top Colvin s mark of 865. The biggest stat for Grider the past three seasons - she finished her freshman year shooting 47 percent from the free throw line then upped it to 66 percent as a sophomore and 71 percent as a junior. She is current shooting 70 percent. Grider, who wasn t a threat from the 3-point line her first two seasons, also made opponents respect her outside shooting last season, hitting 37 percent from the 3-point line compared to just 22.5 percent in She is shooting 40 percent this year Campbellville University Women s Campbellsvilletigers.com

CU s 16-game non-conference schedule features six teams that are ranked in the Preseason NAIA Coaches Poll and all six made a postseason appearance in the NAIA Tournament last season. The Lady Tigers played a home-and-home slate with No. 21 Talladega (Nov. 7 and Nov. 21) - winning both. Campbellsville now travels to Oman Arena in Jackson, Tenn. for the Jackson Rotary Champions Classic to face John Brown and No. 2 Westmont (Nov ). CU will then host the innagural Mid-South Conference - Southern States Athletic Conference Challenge, as Mobile (Dec. 17), Martin Methodist (Dec. 18) and Bethel (Dec. 19) compete for the SSAC at Powell Athletic Center. Over Christmas break (Dec ), the Lady Tigers will travel to Miami Gardens, Fla. for three games at St. Thomas University s Classic. CU ends its non-conference slate with home games against Spalding (Jan. 21) and Wilberforce (Jan. 28). Last season, the Lady Tigers finished with a 17-4 non-conference record including NAIA Tournament games. MSC is yet again one of the top in the NAIA Out of 14 Mid-South Conference games on the schedule, Lady Tiger basketball will play half of them against teams ranked in the Preseason Coaches Top 25 Poll. CU ranks No. 4, Lindsey Wilson ranks No. 5, Shawnee State ranks No. 11, Pikeville is No. 17 and Cumberland ranks No. 23. Ginger Colvin starts her 10th season at CU Ginger Colvin enters her 10th season as head coach of the Lady Tigers. In , Colvin led the Lady Tigers to their most successful season in their storied history. CU competed in the the schools first-ever NAIA Naitonal Championship game. Although, the Lady Tigers fell to Oklahoma City in the championship game, CU finished the season ranked No. 2 (tying its highest ranking in history), tied the most wins in a season (33) and also won its 18th overall conference regular season title (13 MSC, 5 KIAC). CU was also a perfect, 13-0 at home throughout the regular season for the first time in Colvin s era. This past season, the Lady Tigers made another MSC Tournemant title run before falling the in the championship game. Colvin s Lady Tigers reached the NAIA Quarterfinals before falling to Benedictine. In her tenure as head coach, Colvin has accumulated a record. She has achieved three 30-win seasons and has been to the NAIA National Tournament in all but her first season. In her playing career, Colvin was a star performer. In 1990, she was named a Third- Team All-American and the KIAC Player of the Year. She is one of four Lady Tigers to be named as an All-Conference selection for four consecutive seasons. She is also a member of the 1,000 point club at Campbellsville University and a member of the CU Athletics Hall of Fame. Impressively, Colvin still holds the NAIA national record for highest assist average in a career. Carroll (Mont.) 6-2 BOLD - CU OPPONENTS CU S WEEKLY RANKINGS Date Rank Poll O. 25 #4 Preseason SEASON NOTES Hall twins are first in program history Shawnee State University was the final team to earn a first-place vote, while being tabbed as third in the poll with 36 points. The Bears swept the conference regular season and tournament titles last season. For a team with three Madisons (Clements, Stewart and Kaiser), having a set of identical twins should be no problem. The Hall s helped Lincoln County to an record during their three-plus years of high school, including two 45th District titles and one 12th Region crown. Caitlin Hall, a point guard, averaged six points and six rebounds a game and hit 34 percent from the field and 81 percent from the free throw line her senior year of HS. Cristin Hall, a dangerous 3-point shooter, averaged 10 points and three rebounds, shoots 43 percent from the field and 40 percent from the 3-point line. Stewart dealt with preseason injury Campbellsville was dealt a big blow to start the season, as sophomore Madison Stewart went down in preseason practice with a fractured foot. She is expected to miss the first semester and will be reealuated in December. Last season, Stewart played in 30 games and started two as a true freshman. She averaged just above five points and two rebounds per game, while hitting 54 percent from the floor (60-of-112) and 75 percent fro the free throw line (36-of-48. Burd, NAIA Player of the Year, graduates and now coaching Lindsey Burd, the 2015 NAIA Women s Player of the Year joined Lady Tiger basketball this season as a full-time assistant. Burd, from Hardyville, Ky., holds down the 20th spot in women s career points (1,381) and is No. 10 in rebounds (902) during her four-year career. During her four-year Lady Tiger career, Burd was named to the NAIA All-Tournament Team twice and NAIA All-Tournament Honorable Mention Team once. She was an All-MSC First Team selection twice, an All-MSC Second Team once, and she was also a three-time All-MSC Academic Team selection. Only three times in Lady Tiger Basketball history has a player been named the NAIA National Player of the Year. Burd became the second Lady Tiger, joining Whitney Ballinger who received the same honor twice ( , ). NAIA Coaches Poll Ranks Lady Tigers No. 4 in Preseason The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the Division I Women s Basketball Coaches Preseason Poll and Lady Tigers basketball will start the season at No. 4. The Lady Tigers are one of two Mid-South Conference teams in the Top 5 after receiving 194 voting points from the national raters. Lindsey Wilson College will start the season at No. 5 with 177 points. Campbellsville finished last season with a 27-8 record and reached its 10th NAIA Quarterfinal Round before losing to Benedictine, The Lady Tigers lost NAIA Player of the Year Lindsey Burd but have added her to the coaching staff this season. Last season LWC finished tied with Campbellsville in the MSC standings at 10-4 but bowed out of the conference tournament in the semifinals. Campbellsville earned 38 voting points and one first-place vote from the MSC coaches. The Lady Tigers finished tied for second in the regular season standings last season but had another run in the NAIA Tournament going into the quarterfinals. Shawnee State University was the final team to earn a first-place vote, while being tabbed as third in the poll with 36 points. The Bears swept the conference regular season and tournament titles last season.\ University of Pikeville is fourth in the poll with 33 points, following by Cumberland University in fifth with 30 points. Rounding out the poll is University of the Cumberlands with 17 points, followed by Georgetown with 16. Life was the final team in the poll after grabbing seven voting points as they enter their first season of competition.
