Where necessary, a player/team fficial is prepared t submit the necessary F.B.A.O. waiver frm(s) and/r pick-up cntracts. The waiver frms must be signed by a parent r guardian and are t be cmpleted when the participant is playing n a team in a higher categry, r when a player is n a team frm the ppsite sex. (B2.2.7) All rsters are verified prir t the turnament t ensure the validity f the infrmatin prvided. Vulnerable Sectr Plice Check B.3.3 All bench fficials at the Juvenile Natinal Qualifer & Junir Prvincials must submit a vulnerable sectr plice check with their registratin. All Senir bench fficials with players under 18 must als submit this fr all Senir F.B.A.O. events. After the first year, bench fficials will be able t sign a declaratin stating that there are n changes. Each check will therefre be valid fr a perid f 3 years. Natinal bench fficials will still be required t submit a new vulnerable sectr plice check each year as per C.B.F. requirements. F.B.A.O. Registratin: Participatin Requirements A participant in the Senir Prvincials and/r Reginals, and Junir Prvincials and/r Natinal Qualifier, must have ne f the tw f the fllwing qualificatins as a prerequisite in playing: 1. The player must be signed and be actively participating in an Ontari Brmball prgram recgnized by the F.B.A.O. and as apprved by the respective Reginal Executive. 2. The player must be a permanent resident f the Prvince f Ontari. (B4.2.10) Prir t First Game: All players/team fficials must register prir t playing their first game. All players/team fficials names must be n the rster sheet and game sheet, but they can register at anytime during the turnament. Registratin will ccur at the arena where their first game is played (Registratin sheets will be mved accrding t the schedule after this pint). Give yurself enugh time t register! All players and team fficials must have a picture ID that includes their full name and birthday; therwise they require 2 pieces f ID t prve their identity. N exceptins! Caches in all divisins need t prvide a picture ID and N.C.C.P. card fr verificatin. Team registratin sheets must be available as well. Fr the Senir Prvincials, five (5) pick-ups are allwed. 5 2018 Senir Prvincial Champinships Infrmatin Guidelines fr pick-up players/team fficials are the same as thse fr regular turnament play; hwever pick-ups must be frm within the team s categry f play r belw. Pick-up players/team fficials must be frm the same regin as the team picking them up. All names f pick-up players/team fficials alng with their preferred team must be included n the team rster. Pick-ups must present cmpleted Official F.B.A.O. carbn-cpied pick-up cntracts (phtcpies are nt allwed) in rder t register prir t playing their first game. A cpy f their preferred team s registratin sheet must be available as well. A minimum f 11 registered [signed in] players must be present at the beginning f the event, after this the team must have 6 players in rder t be recgnized as a team in the cmpetitive event at the Champinship (CBF Rulebk Article 45 B). Caching Certificatin Intermediate, Masters, and C-Ed Caching Requirements: All team participating in the Intermediate, Masters, and C-Ed categries are required t have the fllwing C.B.F. caching requirements: A C.B.F. certified cach n the bench wh has cmpleted an N.C.C.P. Level 1 r Part f Mdule A r Cmmunity Cach Initiatin (BF2) Thery Caching Clinic minimum. (B7.4.14) Elite Team Caching Requirements: All teams participating in the Elite categry are required t have the fllwing C.B.F. caching requirements: A C.B.F. certified cach n the bench wh has a cmplete C.B.F. Level 2 Certificate (N.C.C.P. Level 1&2 Thery, Technical, and Practical cmplete) r Brmball t Cmpete Certified (B.T.C.) minimum. (B7.4.14) Requirements fr Caches in all Categries: This persn must be registered with the team at the beginning f the event and must be participating with the team thrughut the event. Teams are allwed t pick up a certified cach/team fficial fr the prvincials. This persn being picked up must already be signed as a team fficial. The persn participating in the event wh hlds the N.C.C.P. certificatin must prvide prf f this certificatin prir t the event and must be prepared t shw this dcumentatin upn registratin at the beginning f the event. Fr senir teams, individuals may nly be signed with ne men s team as either a cach, manager r trainer within each f the Elite, Intermediate, Yung Masters, Masters and Recreatin Divisins, prvided these teams are in different leagues. Similarly, an individual may nly be signed with ne ladies team in any f the abve nted capacities. An individual may als be signed as a team fficial with a C-Ed team in additin t the abve. 6 2018 Senir Prvincial Champinships Infrmatin Cnsequences fr Team withut a Certified Cach: If a team des nt have a signed qualified team fficial fr any prtin f a game, a $ fine will be levied fr each game in questin. Turnament Draw & Schedule The turnament draw is apprved by the Reginal Representatives. The draw f ppnents will be made randmly and in accrdance with B The psted schedule at the event is cnsidered the Official Schedule. The schedule will be distributed t the Reginal Representatives and psted n the F.B.A.O. website ( upn cmpletin f the turnament draw and Reginal Champinships. Game Rules: Turnament Rules Canadian Brmball Federatin (C.B.F.) rules are in effect fr the turnament. Please nte the fllwing rule amendments: All teams must be ready t begin play ne hur prir t their scheduled game time. All game sheets must be verified by caches prir t each game (B8.4.1). Warm Up: nly three minutes Games: cnsist f tw (2) fifteen minute stp time perids. (B8.3.2) C.B.F. rules apply fr straight time and mercy Overtime: Fr the F.B.A.O. Senir Prvincial Champinships, the fllwing vertime ruling shall be utilized instead f Article 49 f the C.B.F. Rulebk: (B8.4.2) Fr the Elite Divisins: The new sudden death C.B.F. vertime will be in effect, hwever, with a maximum f ne fifteen (15) minute stp time perid, playing with a galie and three (3) ther players. If n gals are scred after the fifteen (15) minute sudden death perid; then vertime with fifteen (15) minute stp time perids will revert t sudden death with fur (4) n fur (4) and n galie as per the C.B.F. Rulebk. Fr all ther divisins, except Elite: The new sudden death C.B.F. vertime will be in effect, hwever, with a five (5) minute stp time perid, playing with a galie and three (3) ther players. If n gals are scred after the five (5) minute sudden death perid; then vertime with fifteen (15) minute stp time perids will revert t sudden death with fur (4) n (4) and n galie as per the C.B.F. Rulebk. At the cnclusin f all Reginal Champinship, Juvenile Qualifier, Junir Prvincial, and Senir Prvincial games; all players will return t their wn player s bench immediately after the game. Thse team members that are nt n the ice at the cnclusin f play must remain n the bench until granted permissin by the Majr Officials t g nt the ice (B8.4.7). Page 6 f 7

With regard t the schedule, teams must nte that schedule game times will be mved up in a situatin where if necessary games are nt required. Additinal Rules t Nte: B8.3.8: All registered junir aged players must wear full facial mask (C.S.A. apprved) at all Junir and Senir Events within the Prvince f Ontari, including Reginals, league play, and turnaments. B8.4.6: All junir players must wear padded glves effective fr the seasn. Glves must have equal t r greater than the padding cntained in cmmercially prduced brmball glves, and cntain n external hard plastic. Majr fficials will have the final decisin as t whether an illegal equipment penalty will be applied. Nte: Due t the lack f dressing rms, the Prvince cannt accmmdate separate rms fr male and female players n C-Ed teams. Caches shuld take apprpriate steps as they see necessary. Medals and All-Star Award Presentatins At the Senir Prvincials the medal presentatins t the Gld, Silver, and Brnze medal winning teams will take place fllwing the cmpletin f the medal games, as determined by the Hst Cmmittee. All-Star Awards fr the First and Secnd Teams will als be presented at that time. Imprtant Infrmatin Teams are t enfrce zer alchl/substance tlerance at this event. The F.B.A.O. Executive and Bard f Directrs, the Hst Cmmittee, the majr and Minr Officials, the varius arenas utilized fr the event, and the Municipality that wns and/r perates the arena facilities are nt respnsible fr any lss r injury incurred at this event.
