Hero to Hero matches emergency services personnel and sports teams with Canadian troops serving overseas. The personnel or teams from Canada send autographed shirts and other goodies to the troops, showing their support for the members of the Canadian Armed Forces. The Wolves will be: autographing a team jersey autographing Wolves tshirts (1 per player), tennis balls (used by the troops in ball hockey games on the bases), and notecards autographing a Wolves Support the Troops banner. This banner will be available at all home games in January for family members, friends and other hockey players to sign as well. RH Imprint is donating the tshirts, Eyelight Creative Marketing Services is supplying the banner, Piller s is donating 20 cases of Pepstix (VERY popular with the troops) and Sandi Henning is donating the tennis balls. continued on page 5 Inside this issue: Sponsors 2 Coaching Staff 3 Getting to Know Your Waterloo Wolves Wolves Kelowna Fan 6 Five Wolves in Top Ten 7 Gold Puck Champions 8 Contact Us 8 4/ 5

The All-Star Game will take place on January 8 in Niagara Falls at the Gale Centre. Buck and Wood will represent the Western Division. Other ex-wolves playing for the Firebirds include Brandon and Brock Yantzi, Matt Horst, Brock Shoemaker, Jay D Aguilar and Mike D Aloisio. Good luck at the All-Star Game! Wolves Biggest Fan in Kelowna In 2008, the Wolves travelled to Kelowna to take part in the International Midget AAA tournament. As is the usual practice on the Kelowna trip, some off-ice time was spent at Big White Resort. Players have the option to ski, go tubing, or play a bit of pond hockey. That year, many chose pond hockey. A young, enthusiastic hockey player, Owen Pritchard, was on the outdoor rink at the same time. In no time, Owen was playing with the Wolves as an honourary Wolf for the day. Recently, the Wolves received an from Owen s Dad, David: Hello folks, I heard you were coming out to the local midget tourney again this year. Just wanted to let you know that your biggest local supporter will be there...my boy, Owen. Time Flies and Owen has grown as well. Tell your lads to keep their heads up on the pond at Big White! ;) Go Wolves Go!! The photo above was taken at Big White in The photo to the right is Owen s hockey pic for the season with the Kelowna Minor Hockey Association. So, if you hear a cow bell clanging loudly when the Wolves take to the ice in Kelowna during the tournament, you can be sure Owen Pritchard is in the stands!

7 Wolf Talk Volume 2, Issue 4 Page 7 Five Wolves in Top Ten for Scoring The Waterloo Wolves players continue to dominate the league standings. Team Captain, Evan Canzi, is (as of December 25, 2010) leading the league in scoring with 53 points. Lying 2nd (pictured left) is Christian Mroczkowski with 42 points. Trevor Sauder (5th), Blake Hetherington (8th) and Kyle Ellis (9th) round out the top twn. In goaltending, Jordan Witt is 2nd place with 11 wins. Leading the league for goalies is London Jr. Knights Craig Wood with 12 wins. Overall, the Wolves are lying in 3rd place in the league, with London and Huron-Perth taking the top two spots. However, the race for the top 4 is very close. Congratulations to all Wolves on a terrific season so far! Over 95,000 Hits for Site In July 2009, the Waterloo Wolves launched their new website.
