FRIDAY, JULY 5 7:00 am Practice round for the Chris LeDoux Memorial Golf Tournament, at The Powder Horn Golf Club, 23 Country Club Lane (entrance off Hwy 335 south of Sheridan). Annual tournament in memory of singer-songwriter and World Champion Bareback Rider Chris LeDoux and one of the annual kickoff events for Sheridan WYO Rodeo Week. On Friday, a 7:00 am practice round and 6:00 pm BBQ, auction, and live entertainment. Open to the public. 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Wyoming State Trap Shoot, at the Sheridan Gun Club, 87 Keystone Road. Come to watch expert trap shooters over 300 competitors have qualified and are expected to participate. Free admission stay as long as you like, or come and go. To find the Gun Club, go out W. 5th St., which will turn into Soldier Creek Road at the end of the pavement; go about 3 miles on Soldier Creek Road, then turn on Keystone Road. 6:00-9:00 pm Bradford s Garden Party, the 3rd annual summer fundraiser for The Brinton Museum, 239 Brinton Road in Big Horn, WY. Food, drink and fine conversation in the Brinton Gardens, with music by the Munsick Family and Bradford Brinton s Steinway player piano. Silent auction. Heavy hors d oeuvres and drinks. And don t forget your dancing shoes! $75 per person in advance, $100 per person at the door. 2 9:00 am Chris LeDoux Memorial Golf Tournament four-person scramble. This event began in 2007 as a fundraiser for the Chris LeDoux Memorial Foundation, a foundation established by the LeDoux family after the loss of the singer-songwriter and World Champion Bareback Rider, Chris LeDoux. All money raised goes directly to the foundation. Open to the public. SATURDAY, JULY 6 10:00 am 3:00 pm KARZ Club Rod Run ( Show and Shine ) and Swap Meet. Almost 200 hot rods, muscle, and classic cars and trucks on display on Historic Main Street, with vendors on Sheridan s Grinnell Plaza. Awards presented to winners as judged by the public, in kids, women, and men categories. Also, car-related swap meet, open for public participation, 8:00 am to 3:00 pm on Main St. between Dow and Alger. 10:00 am 4:00 pm 2nd annual Cowboy State Strongman Classic, outdoors at Purenergy Fitness, 603 Riverside St. Athletes from all over the U.S. will be competing for the title of Strongman and Strongwoman of Wyoming the Wyoming State Championship for Just some of the events: the Yoke, Stones, Husafell Stone, and Car Deadlift. Food and retail vendors available, as well as a beer garden. Free and open to the public. Come to check it out and you ll end up staying for a while. Amazing feats! 1:00-3:00 pm Miss WYO Rodeo Pageant Modeling/Speech/Interviews, at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall. Competition to select the WYO Rodeo Royalty for 2014 Miss WYO Rodeo Queen (ages 19-24), Princess (ages 14-18), and Junior Princess (ages 10-13). At this event, the contestants are judged on modeling, speech, and interviews. The horsemanship competition will be held at 6:00 pm in the fairgrounds arena. Come and watch! 3:00-4:30 pm Flying H High Goal Oliver Wallop Cup Polo Tournament, with high-level players from the U.S. and internationally, at the Flying H Polo Club in Big Horn, WY. One of the few summer clubs in the U.S. playing high goal polo. Open to the public to watch the game, at no charge. Bring your own lawn chairs or blankets. No dogs, please. 6:00-7:30 pm Miss WYO Rodeo Pageant Horsemanship Competition, at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds arena. Final element of the judging for the WYO Rodeo Royalty for 2014 the horsemanship competition (reining patterns). Come and watch! SUNDAY, JULY 7 8:00 am 5:00 pm Wyoming State Trap Shoot, at the Sheridan Gun Club, 87 Keystone Road. Spectators are welcome, with no admission charge. There are bleachers for seating, but also feel free to bring your own lawn chairs or blankets. No dogs, please. MONDAY, JULY 8 compositions by Native Americans. Part of the Sheridan WYO Rodeo Week activities. Free and open to the public. TUESDAY, JULY 9 7:00-8:30 am Sheridan WYO Rodeo Slack, at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds arena. Early elimination rounds for the steer roping event in the main Rodeo evening performances. No admission charge. compositions by Native Americans. Part of the Sheridan WYO Rodeo Week activities. Free and open to the public. 4:00-7:00 pm Boot Kickoff for Sheridan WYO Rodeo Week, in Kendrick Park. Stick horse races for the kids, introduction of Sheridan WYO Rodeo Royalty, Boot Kickoff competition for all ages, Chamber Ambassador challenge between Sheridan and Buffalo, WY. Food and drink vendors. Free and open to the public. Complimentary trolley shuttle service available from the Sheridan Junior High School parking lot, Whitney Commons (library side), and Sheridan Senior Center. 7:30-9:00 pm Concert in the Park at the Kendrick Park band shell. Tonight it s the country/rock Emmett Bower Band - rock-a-bility from Lincoln, Nebraska. From Alabama to Cross Canadian Ragweed to Jimmy Buffet, this multi-talented band is a deep cut above the rest. They ll be playing all the favorites, plus some truly amazing original songs. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy a lovely summer evening in the park. Free and open to the public. 3

Main St. Once upon a time, in a deep and dark forest, in the Bluegrass state of Kentucky, not far from the village of Edmonton, stood a psychedelic shack where the only rock and roll band in Metcalfe County rehearsed - rock & roll that would characterize itself as guitar-heavy rambunctious music shredded by the band now known as The Kentucky HeadHunters. Grammy Award winners with the hits Walk Softly on This Heart of Mine, Dumas Walker, O Lonesome Me and Rock & Roll Angel, The Kentucky HeadHunters are certainly the most durable Southern Rock outfit on the planet. 5 8:00-10:00 pm The New Vaudevillians Variety Show, at the WYO Theater, 42 N. Main St. This will be the 5th and most entertaining summer yet for the New Vaudevillians show! Local artists presenting a fabulous mix of comedy, magic, singing, and dancing - fast paced and fun. It s new vaudeville in the oldest vaudeville theater in Wyoming, and it s an event you won t want to miss. Each Wednesday in July and August, with different acts, different sounds, different people. Wristbands are $25 each. 6:00-7:30 pm Food for Thought film Farmageddon part of a series of critically acclaimed films about food and its connection and importance to our communities health. Being shown at the DSA Community Room, 121 S. Main St. (corner of Burkitt/Coffeen/Main). Today s film, Farmageddon, tells the story of small, family farmers providing safe, healthy foods to their communities who were forced to stop, often through violent action, by agents of misguided government bureaucracies. The movie poses the question of why is this happening in 21st century America? Optimistic, encouraging farmers and consumers alike to take action to preserve individuals rights to access food of their choice and farmers rights to produce those foods. Annual Rodeo Week 5K run and 1.5-mile walk, starting and ending at Grinnell & Main St. Over 500 runners/walkers expected! Participants can pre-register at The Sport Stop or Foot of the Bighorns, or register 7:00-7:30 am just before the event. $20 if registered by 5:00 pm, Wednesday, July 10; $25 if register after that. All proceeds benefit the Sheridan High School Cross Country Track Team. 9:00-9:30 am Beds Along the Bighorns Race, on Historic Main Street. Bed races with 6-person teams from different businesses/organizations run, in costume, with their decorated beds for the grand prize! Another annual event in our Sheridan WYO Rodeo Week. The parade starts at Dow St. (in front of Wells Fargo Bank), goes south on Main St., turns east on Works, then back north on Gold St. [Those who want to stake out a viewing spot the night before, remember to wait until the stores close before setting out your chairs.] 6

7 12:00-2:00 pm First People s Pow Wow, on Grinnell Plaza. 200 participants from the Crow Nation, presenting the First People s Pow Wow as part of our Sheridan WYO Rodeo Week immediately following the Sheridan WYO Rodeo Parade. Special guests will be the Miss Indian America Princesses from the All American Indian Days event held in Sheridan from 1951 to Free and open to the public. 12:00-4:00 pm Indian Art Market, at the Sagebrush Community Art Center parking lot, 201 E. 5th St. Outdoor art market with dozens of Native American vendors. Direct from Nashville and boasting an unbroken lineage to the Dove and Grammy Award winning Blackwood Brothers, this group links the best of Southern Gospel's traditional sound with today's newer country gospel and worship music. 8 SATURDAY, JULY 13 8:00 am 2:00 pm Kids Fishing Day in the Mountains. An opportunity for young anglers age 13 and under, to try their luck at fishing and learn about the environment, at the Porcupine Ranger Station pond (Forest Service Road 13 of US Hwy 14A). Volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and provide help or instructions on casting techniques, knot tying, angler ethics, and fish conservation and ecology. Kids must be accompanied by a parent or guardian; or guardians; kids who are Wyoming residents won t need a Wyoming fishing license, non-residents must have an adult with a valid Wyoming fishing license on site where they are fishing. Bring your own gear (although fishing rods will be available for use by children who do not have their own).
