1 201 Amherst Track and Field Fundraiser Hello Amherst Track and Field Families, We hope you will help us make the 201 Annual Cookie Dough Fundraiser a success! These funds are essential to the success of our program and will be used for general track needs that will BENEFIT EVERY MEMBER OF OUR PROGRAM such as: pole vault poles, hurdles, high jump/pole vault cross bars, uniforms, starting blocks, shot put and discus supplies, spikes, batons, stopwatches, facility usage, special events, team meals and other important items. We also have to look to the future and plan for major costs such as the replacement of our hurdles and high jump pit. Here are the details of our 201 Fundraiser: Athletes will earn points in order to earn incentives. Points can be earned in two ways. Points can be combined from each option: o One point per box of frozen cookie dough sold or o One point for every $10 in Comet Relays sponsorship funds secured. Extra cookie incentive prizes: such as top seller award (one dollar per box!) and the $100 cash raffle for those who sell 25 boxes or more will remain, however the wing party will be given to the leadership group that earns the highest average points per person. Timeline: Tuesday, March th: Fundraiser Kick-off Tuesday, March 21st: Fundraiser Ends (ALL MONEY DUE AT THIS TIME!) Friday, April th : Cookie pick-up day You must make plans to be at the football field house between 2:00pm and 5:00pm on this day to pick up cookies! If you will be gone, send someone in your place! Other information: There is one copy of the 201 Amherst Comet Relays Sponsorship Page in this packet. More copies can be found on the MLS track webpage. The program goal is 15 points per athlete! Any Athlete that reaches this goal will receive a free Amherst Track and Field Window Decal. GO COMETS! 2 201 AMHERST TRACK AND FIELD FUNDRAISER TIPS FOR SUCCESS: COOKIES: 1) Collect money at time of order! 2) Checks should be made out to COMET ATHLETIC BOOSTERS. 3) Turn in the tally sheet on the 21st. Keep the order form so you know who gets what! 4) Each athlete is given two order forms. See your head coach for extra forms. 5) Start selling early! 6) Combine all payments into one check if possible. AND PLEASE KEEP EVERYTHING IN THE PROVIDED ENVOLOPE WITH YOUR CONTACT INFO ON IT! SPONSORSHIPS: 1) These sponsorships are tax deductible! If you need a letter, please indicate this on the form! 2) Turn in checks with the forms on March 21st. Checks should be made out to Comet Athletic Boosters. 3) Banners will be displayed for the entire season on our track. Between all of our home dual/tri meets, Comet Relays, SWC, District and Regional Championships, this will be a LOT of exposure! 4) Extra forms can be found on the high school track and field website. INCENTIVES: 1) Will be earned through a points system. 1 point per box of cookies sold or every $10 in Comet Relays Sponsorship secured. 2) Will be passed out as soon as possible! 3) Fill out the form completely! 4) You can order several of the same item if you wish, just indicate this on your form. 5) The team goal is 15 points per athlete. 3 201 COMET RELAYS SPONSORSHIP Now in its 62nd year, the Comet Relays has grown from a modest four-team event to one of the largest high school relay showcases in Ohio. Featuring over 800 athletes and approximately 2000 spectators, the school and community take pride in hosting the Comet Relays. On April 22, 201, YOU can be a part of the excitement. You have the opportunity to directly support the Comet Relays by choosing to be a sponsor. Sponsors may be recognized in a variety of ways including sponsoring a specific event, the Comet Relays program (200), banners displayed on the field, and logos placed on event t-shirts (300). Take advantage of the all-day event and invite spectators to come and visit your establishment! We hope to see you there and THANK YOU!
