7 BACON S CORNER BACON S CORNER MAKIN BACON BACON S STRIP TO MY EHOG FAMILY Brother Bacon was unable to submit a column this month because the sun and water in Aruba made his writing hand all rubbery. He has brought back plenty of sun and some sand and will be passing it out in small parcels to the people he likes best His EHOG family. To get your share show up at the rides that Tim has listed on the web site or at TSI Ellington where he has a following in the great staff from Motor Clothes to Parts to Service and Sales everyone is ready to help get you and your bike ready for the Spring Breakout Ride. Which is also the start of the EHOG milage contest, which will run through to next April. This year Keith Lassonde will lead the Break Out Ride on Sunday April 10th to Wright s Chicken Farm in Rhode Island. (passengers are required to wear helmets). The cost for chicken is $17.10 per person. This includes the meal, coffee, ice cream, tax and tip. The chapter will pick up $2.10 per person for members only, making the cost $15.00 per person. (all soda drinks, etc. will be cash at the bar. Ride will be leaving TSI at 10 AM. Wright s Chicken Farm has a capacity of 1023 people and is usually bustling on the weekend. If you like Roast Chicken this is the place to go. The Ellington Chapter of HOG is trying to get a better understanding of their members wants and preferences. To this end I (spot) have devised a Member Profi le.pdf form (attached with the newsletter) that I encourage the membership to fi ll out. You can save this form on your computer then attach it to an and send it back to me at ellspot@ comcast.net. Please enter area code + phone number using numerical characters only, e.g., enter (222) as Down at the bottom of the form is a space titled Mentor. A mentor is: a trusted friend, counselor or teacher, usually a more experienced person. A HOG mentor doesn t replace other friends, family members or subject experts or serve as authority fi gures, disciplinarians or decision makers. Instead, he or she is a support link, providing resources and encouragement. If you want to volunteer to be a mentor or want to be mentored indicate that in the box provided. This is meant to be a fun and helpful activity for the whole chapter to benefi t from. If you have any questions or concerns you may call any offi cer or advocate their phone numbers and address are on the front cover of the newsletter. spot Newsletter Editor and proud member of EHOG.
