2 LETTER FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER Dear Quechee Club Members, As the Club's autumn activities transition to Winter, the season still offers a mural of colors as the backdrop to everything we love outdoors. For our year-round residets, each day the Club is here for your daily sporting and social needs. For our Members away from Quechee, plan a weekend getaway and invite your friends so they may enjoy what you have discovered. The Golf Courses were in amazing condition, the Fitness Facility and the Indoor Pool are busy keeping you all in top condition. Pickleball continues to grow with participation, Platform Tennis has begun and the snow making machinery is being tuned up. The 2018 calendar for social and sporting events are being formulated by the Committees and Department Heads, traditional events have been fine-tuned and new events will be added. Please continue to suggest events and tournaments that you experience at other clubs, we will add our Quechee magic to it and make it our own success! As a new flatlander to this area of Vermont, my eyes are wide with the spectacle of Autumn colors and my anticipation for winter. While in a local barber shop I overheard local farmers predict record cold temperatures and snowfall this winter. I quietly cheered the news for all of us. Skiing, Ice Skating, Sledding, Cross Country Skiing and Snowshoeing offer opportunities to keep to the outdoors in the Vermont tradition. Whether indoors warming by Murphy s Farm fire, socializing and dining at Davidson s or enjoying the events at Dewey s there is a spot for you. You ll be smiling about how lucky you are to have this special place in Quechee Vermont. See you at the Club. THE HAVEN FOODSHELF IN WILDER, VT The Foodshelf helps Upper Valley families who are in need of a helping hand with food and home supplies. QLLA Charities sponsors an ongoing effort to contribute to the Foodshelf with non-perishables. Examples of appreciated products are: cereals, peanut butter, canned vegetables, canned beans, rice, pasta, and spaghetti sauce. Almost anything, that you might need to support your family, would be welcomed at the Foodshelf. We have drivers who pick up the items every week and deliver them to The Haven.
