2 Welcome to Presidents Week Vacation The Club has an abundance of activities packed into this week for you and your family to enjoy. The conditions have been outstanding and we hope you will take full advantage by spending time at the ski area, sledding hill, ice skating pond and on our Nordic trails. Branch out a little by taking part in one of many off-campus trips we have planned - like fat biking or dogsledding! When you are ready for indoors - come enjoy the pool! February vacation week marks many of the Club s popular, annual events. Kick off the festivities with the Torchlight Parade & Fireworks on Sunday, February 18th. This traditional family favorite is as much fun for spectators as it is for participants. The 22nd Annual Cardboard Box Derby is scheduled for the following weekend on Saturday, February 24th. Join us for the pre-derby dinner & reception the night before the big race! Registration packets and information are available at Membership Services and online. If you have not yet had a chance to enjoy the new seasonal menu at Davidson s - make sure to pay a visit! Murphy s Tavern also features new comfort food selections and winter libations that are sure to warm you up when you retreat from the cold. 11 A Quechee Tradition! Torchlight Parade & Fireworks Sunday, February 18 Start the evening by meeting at the lifts and taking the Quad to the top of Ski Quechee at 5:00pm sharp! Ski down with flashlights and glow sticks! A grand fireworks display will follow the parade. Be sure to sign up at (802) Dress warm and bring head lamps! 48 hour cancellation policy in effect. A complimentary event! PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR DINNER! TORCHLIGHT PARADE DINNER BUFFET REGISTRATION REQUIRED Lift stops at 6pm sharp! No Exceptions!

13 Skating Available on the golf course at the Skating Pond below The Clubhouse. Weather and conditions permitting. Please skate at your own risk. Sledding Sledding can be a dangerous sport and all sledders participate at their own risk. Please sled only in designated sledding area on hill behind The Base Lodge inside the fenced groomed area. Nighttime sledding is also prohibited on all properties, unless in an organized event sponsored by QLLA. * Sled rentals currently unavailable at QLLA. Snowshoeing Snowshoe rentals available at: Henderson s Ski Rental Systems (802) If snowshoeing in the cross-country areas, please snowshoe outside of groomed cross-country trails. Please Note: In order to purchase lift tickets, all members must show their Quechee Club IDs (available at Membership Services) Cross country maps are available at The Concierge Desk and are posted on trees throughout the area.

The recreation department will highlight past events and review the rules & regulations while you enjoy good food, fun and music. 16 PLATFORM TENNIS Enjoy this cold weather racquet sport daily! Courts are open from 9:00am to 9:00pm. Reservations can be made with the Health Club at (802) or online at Demo racquets are available at the Health Club and Paddle Courts at no additional charge. Balls are available for purchase at $5 per ball or $14 per sleeve. Round Robin Groups meet every week! Be sure to sign up. Ladies: 9:00am - 10:30am Every Monday & Wednesday Private lessons, both individual and group, are available with Rob Parker, Platform Professional. He can be contacted via telephone at (802) NEW SPIN Classes available! We are offering Spin Classes on Monday evenings 5:30pm to 6:30pm, Thursday 8:00am to 9:00am and Saturdays at 9:30am to 10:30am. Orientation classes will be offered for those new to spinning. Spinning is an intense fat burner class; typically you will burn an average of 500 calories in one hour! Group riding is a synergistic experience and music driven a fun filled experience that is a cardio kicker. Three new bikes arrived in December. We now have room for 9 participants. 19 CLUB RULES & NOTICES Cancellations: A 48-hour cancellation policy applies for all holiday week dining in Davidson s and special events at all Club Venues. If no notification is received, there will be a charge of $25 per person non-refundable posted to the members account or guest credit card. In order to accommodate our members and guests, advance reservations are required for all Club dining and events. Wi-Fi: Wireless access is available for our members and guests under Public. Areas of reception are: Dewey s Deck, The Base Lodge, Main Dining Room, Conference Room, bar area of Davidson s and The Clubhouse Lobby. Cell phone use: Cell phones are permitted in designated areas only. When dining in any Club dining venues, out of respect for others, please silence your phone and all other electronics. Consult QLLA handbooks or Membership Services for more detailed information. Pets: Pets must be under the verbal or non-verbal control of its owner at all times and may not run at large (in accordance with the ordinances of the Town of Hartford). Pets are not permitted at any time on the golf courses. Leashed pets may be exercised on the main path connecting Lake Pinneo and the main campus and on other common lands, other than Section Five. Officially recognized service animals are permitted in accordance with applicable law. Clubhouse Dress Code: Ski Boots are not permitted in The Clubhouse. Davidson s - Proper attire at Davidson s is Country Club Casual. Tank tops, swimwear, sweatshirts, t-shirts, caps and gym clothes are not allowed for both ladies and gentlemen. Children under 10 must be supervised at all times. NOTE: All members must get a daily lift ticket when using the ski area.
