2 Schools must use the funding to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of Physical Education, Sport and Physical Activity (PESPA) they offer. This means that you should use the Primary PE and Sport Premium to: Develop or add to the PESPA activities that your school already offer Build capacity and capability within the school to ensure that improvements made now will benefit pupils joining the school in future years Please visit gov.uk for the revised DfE guidance including the 5 key indicators across which schools should demonstrate an improvement. This document will help you to review your provision and to report your spend. DfE encourages schools to use this template as an effective way of meeting the reporting requirements of the Primary PE and Sport Premium. We recommend you start by reflecting on the impact of current provision and reviewing the previous spend. Under the Ofsted Schools Inspection Framework, inspectors will assess how effectively leaders use the Primary PE and Sport Premium and measure its impact on outcomes for pupils, and how effectively governors hold them to account for this. Schools are required to publish details of how they spend this funding as well as on the impact it has on pupils PE and sport participation and attainment by the end of the summer term or by 31 July 2019 at the latest. We recommend regularly updating the table and publishing it on your website throughout the year, as evidence of your ongoing review into how you are using the money to secure maximum, sustainable impact. Provide a fitness extracurricular club including fitness challenges. Next steps may include the development of Fitness classes; Circuit training Zumba Yoga Future PE grant funding could be used to purchase additional equipment and supply CPD.
5 Outdoor play equipment To purchase outdoor play equipment / facilities to increase activity time during social times at school. This could include outside basketball hoops and outside fitness equipment. 2,000 Increased student physical activity during social times (breaks and Lunch). 8.8% School Council to be consulted on the equipment they feel they would engage with in free time. Swimming in the PE curriculum Develop students knowledge of water safety and dangers of open water. To extend the range of activities in our curriculum by offering swimming. To develop community links for pupils to engage in swimming outside of school. 7,280 To have at least 80% of KS2 students being able to successfully travel in water for 25 metres. Use of Leisure Centre coaches to ensure high quality teaching. To collate and record how many students engage in swimming outside of school. 32% For the school to benefit from the development of a relationship with the leisure centre; including coaches supporting our PE curriculum. Key indicator 2: The profile of PESSPA being raised across the school as a tool for whole school improvement School focus with clarity on intended impact on pupils: Athletics Jump Pit Actions to achieve: To provide an additional facility in athletics so students can refine techniques in Long and Triple Jump. To use this facility in lessons and provide an athletics extracurricular club. Funding : Evidence and impact: 1,000 Use of the pit in lessons and for students to be accurately assessed in Athletics. Percentage of total allocation: % Sustainability and suggested next steps: 4.4% To protect and maintain the investment of a jump pit. Develop teaching of athletics CPD with staff members.

To refine stroke techniques in a healthy lifestyles activity. To develop community links for pupils to engage in swimming outside of school.
