Series: A-State leads play and was award the SBC Defensive Player of the Week award for her performance. She had a season-high 33 digs against Texas State Nov. 17 in the last game of her career at the Convocation Center. Baska now has 2,154 career digs. UALR won 3-1 in Little Rock before defeating the Red Wolves 3-2 in Jonesboro. A-State and UALR met in last season s conference tournament and the Red Wolves earned a 3-1 victory for their first conference tournament win since WITH A WIN: If A-State is able to defeat UALR Thursday, the Red Wolves would advance to face the winner of the third seed Texas State and sixth seed Louisiana-Lafayette. The Red Wolves went 2-0 against the Bobcats this season, but were 0-2 against the Ragin Cajuns. IT S SO HARD TO SAY GOODBYE: Arkansas State honored seniors Megan Baska, Sadie Clark, Shelby Crncic, Jackie Gerig, and Kelsey Sullivan before the match with Texas State Nov. 17. Redshirt junior Taylor Szypulski was also honored because her career has been cut short by injuries. DIGGING MACHINE 2000: Senior libero Megan Baska became only the second player in Arkansas State history to record 2,000 digs in a career. Baska recorded 55 digs over the last weekend of conference CAN YOU DIG IT: Senior libero Megan Baska has a career best 587 digs on the season, breaking her previous best of 564 in Her 4.70 digs per set average on the year ranks as the third best in the Sun Belt Conference. Baska s 4.70 digs per set average also ranks as 67th in the nation. SENSATIONAL SADIE: Senior Sadie Clark concluded the regular season as A- State s leader in kills with 351 and a 2.95 kills per set average that is tied for ninth highest in the Sun Belt Conference. She was one of five Red Wolves to record double-digit kills against Texas State with 11. SOLID SULLIVAN: Senior Kelsey Sullivan was tied for third on the team in kills against ULM and Texas State over the weekend with 16 and has the second most kills on the team this year with 283. She is also second on the team in hitting percentage with.257. Sullivan also added eight blocks during past weekend s action for a team-leading 102 blocks this season. THIS IS WARRINGTON: Freshman Mallory Warrington dished out 91 assists for an assists per set average against ULM and Texas State. She had 38 assists against ULM for a assists per set average and fell one kill shy of a triple-double

She was named the SBC Freshman of the Week for her performance during week 12. KENDAL IS KILLING IT: Over the last six matches Kendal Davis leads A-State with 70 kills for a 3.33 kills per set average. She led the Red Wolves with 28 kills against ULM and Texas State over the weekend. She had 15 against ULM for a 5.00 kills per set average. SERVING WITH CRNCIC: Shelby Crncic is second on the team in service aces with 18 and is the only Red Wolf to have more service aces (18) than service errors (17). She also ranks third on the team in digs with 195 this year. A SIDE OF REIS: Freshman Kelsey Reis leads A-State freshmen in kills (202) after recording 21 against ULM and Texas State. She had an attacking percentage of.515 over the weekend to raise her teamhigh hitting percentage to.301 on the season, which ranks as the sixth best in the SBC. She is also second on the team with 93 blocks and has a team-high 14 block solos. DIGGING WITH SCHAEDIG: Freshman Markie Schaedig is second on the team in digs with 233 on the season and is tied for third on the team with 17 service aces. THE GREAT EIGHT: The Red Wolves feature players from eight different states this season. The states represent are Arkansas (1), Illinois (2), Indiana (1), Iowa (1), Kansas (4), Missouri (2), Nebraska (1), and Texas (5). SHORTEST TO TALLEST: Senior Shelby Crncic has the distinction of being the shortest player on the A-State roster this season coming in at 5 5, while there is a tie for tallest Red Wolf between redshirt freshman Hannah McRee and freshman Kelsey Reis with both registering a height of 6 3. SIBLING RIVALRY: Megan Baska s brother, David Baska, is entering his senior season as a punter on the Air Force Academy football squad and has also lettered two years on the Falcon baseball team. IT RUNS IN THE FAMILY: Senior Jackie Gerig has seven siblings and all of them are volleyball players. Four of them have played or are currently playing college volleyball. CLARK S DIVISION I FAMILY: Division I sports are not uncommon to Sadie Clark and the rest of her family. Her father, Steve, played football at Kansas State before playing in the NFL. Her older sister Destiny played volleyball at Arkansas and older brother Zac played football at Oregon. Currently, her younger brother Trace is playing football at Oklahoma State. LAST TIME OUT: JONESBORO, Ark. (11/17/13) The Arkansas State volleyball team defeated Texas State 3-2 (20-25, 25-22, 22-25, 25-22, 15-11) at the Convocation Center on its Senior Day Sunday afternoon. Trailing 2-1 in the match, A-State (14-19, 9-9 SBC) jumped out to an early 9-6 lead in the fourth set on a Jackie Gerig kill before Texas State (21-12, 11-7 SBC) went on a 5-0 run to earn an 11-9 lead. A- State tied it at and both teams traded points until it was tied after a Kelsey Reis kill. The Red Wolves ended the set on a 6-3 run, capped by a Gerig kill, to win the set and send the match to a deciding fifth set. In the final set, A-State jumped out to a 6-4 lead that caused Texas State to use a timeout. After the timeout, the Bobcats used a 4-1 run to earn an 8-7 advantage. After flipping sides of the court, A-State won the next two points and took a 9-8 lead after a Gerig block solo. Texas State trailed by one point at before committing two attacking errors and allowing the Red Wolves to stretch the lead out to The Bobcats used a timeout and won the next point to cut into the A-State advantage 13-11, but Kendal Davis ended the Bobcats hope of a comeback with a kill and a service ace to clinch the game five victory and a 3-2 match win for the Red Wolves. The past couple of weeks we ve been focusing on competition drills in practice, A-State volleyball coach David Rehr said. We want them to fight and we fought today and I m proud of how our kids responded today. The seniors have done

It s a big plus for us to go into the conference tournament with three straight wins. Arkansas State s Davis and Reis led the way with 13 kills each, while Kelsey Sullivan (12), Sadie Clark (11), and Gerig (11) all recorded double-digit kills. Mallory Warrington recorded her team-high sixth double-double by registered season-highs in assists (53) and digs (18) and she also had a season-high nine kills, falling one kill shy of recording Arkansas State s first triple-double of the season. Defensively, Megan Baska recorded a season-high 33 digs, while Sullivan and Clark added two blocks each. A-State got off to a quick start in the first set by racing out to an 11-6 lead after a Warrington kill, but the Bobcats used a 7-1 run to take a lead on a kill. Both teams went back and forth until the set was tied 19-19, but Texas State ended the set on a 6-1 run to earn a set one victory. The Red Wolves got off to a good start in the second set with a 10-7 lead after a Reis kill, but the Bobcats responded with a 7-1 run to take a lead. Texas State stretched its lead out to four on two occasions and led before A-State went on a 7-2 run to close out the set 25-22, capped by a Clark kill, and tie the match 1-1. In the third set, Arkansas State got off to a good start by leading 12-7, but a 7-2 Bobcat run tied the set at The Red Wolves tied the set at after a Sullivan kill, but Texas State used a 7-4 run to clinch a third set victory that gave the Bobcats a 2-1 match lead. Arkansas State is awaiting final confirmation on its seeding and who it will play in the Sun Belt Conference tournament that runs from Nov in Troy, Ala.
