11 Oxford Mail Youth Football League Fixture Format Information Development Games The results of these games are recorded but not published by the League. Teams must submit the results in the usual way but no public record will be available. Trophy Events These are trophy competitions that last for a set period of time and can be of varying formats. Typical formats will be seeded groups, end of season tournaments, ladder competitions and Champions League Format. Teams from U7 U12 will take part in trophy events under the new format. Futsal Games Indoor 5v5 football during winter months for younger age groups. Mini League Competitions These will be run for U10 U12 and teams will play each other once only in a traditional league format. The divisions will be reorganised later in the season according to finishing positions. Traditional League Competitions These will be run for U13 U15 in the traditional way. Teams playing each other at home and away. Traditional Cup & Shield Knockouts Cups in the usual format will be run for U13 U15 age groups. U9 U12 will have a traditional Cup competition and also a shield competition for teams in lower divisions. Confirmed Divisions Following the consultation period, I have made adjustments based on responses from the member Clubs. Hopefully, most teams have now been placed in a division that they feel will match their ability. The fixtures will now be drawn up and will be published on Registration Day Sunday 11 th August.
