COACHING STAFF UPDATE: Red Sox Manager John Farrell announced on Friday that he has been diagnosed with Stage 1 Lymphoma...While he is on medical leave, Bench Coach Torey Lovullo will serve as interim manager. In addition, beginning today Bullpen Coach Dana LeVangie will serve as interim bench coach, and Triple-A Pawtucket Pitching Coach Bob Kipper will serve as interim bullpen coach (No. 77). LAST NIGHT S WIN: The Red Sox won a 9-1 decision last night at Fenway Park...Boston evened the current 3-game series at 1-1 and now has a 3-2 mark on the homestand... The Sox led the entire game after taking a 1-0 lead in the opening frame...boston s 9 runs marked their most in a game this season in which no Red Sox homered. Eduardo Rodriguez allowed just 1 run in a career-high 8.0 IP, marking the 8th time in his 15 career starts he gave up 1 or no runs...just 1 of his 6 total hits allowed came within the fi rst 5 innings...cleveland s only run came on an solo HR in the 7th inning (Brantley).
