DE AZA DEALT: Yesterday the Red Sox traded Alejandro De Aza and cash considerations to the Giants for minor league LHP Luis Ysla (pronounced EES-lah ). Ysla, 23, will be assigned to High-A Salem and will work in relief...the left-hander has 95 SO in 79.2 IP with High-A San Jose this year, going 3-6 with a 6.21 ERA (55 ER) in 33 games (9 starts)...he earned postseason All-Star honors in each of his fi rst 2 minor league seasons with the Rookie-level Arizona League Giants in 2013 and Single-A Augusta in 2014, where he won the South Atlantic League ERA title (2.45). CALLED UP: Today the Red Sox will recall Ryan Cook and Noe Ramirez from Triple-A Pawtucket, and will select Allen Craig and Sandy Leon to the active roster from Pawtucket. ON THE RECORD: The Red Sox are 9-4 (.692) since 8/18, tied for 2nd best record in the AL behind Toronto (.692, 9-3)...They rank 5th in the AL with a (.586) record dating back to 7/30.
