REWRITING THE RECORD BOOKS recorded one of the best statistical seasons in WWU history, setting single-season offensive records in hits (449), doubles (78), home runs (37-tied), extra-base hits (126), total bases (660) and hit-by-pitch (34) also had the second-highest on-base percentage (.383), third-highest slugging percentage (.454) and fourth-highest batting average (.309) in the circle posted the second-most strikeouts (319) and strikeout rate (6.33 K/7.0 IP), and recorded 11 shutouts (5th-most). KASNER WITH A K freshman Anna Kasner was named the GNAC co-pitcher of the Year, co-freshman of the Year, First Team All-GNAC and First Team All-West Region (D2CCA) recorded the second-most strikeouts in a season by a WWU pitcher with 188, setting the school record with 9.16 K/7.0 IP notched four games with 13 strikeouts (2/5 at Chaminade, 2/7 at BYU Hawai'i, 4/2 vs. Chico State, 5/6 vs. Western Oregon), tied for sixth-most in a game in WWU history twice named the NFCA Division II National Pitcher of the Week recorded 13 strikeouts in collegiate debut and also had 13 K s in a 1-hit shutout vs. No. 7 Chico State also hit.380 (30-for-79) with 7 doubles, 1 triple, 3 home runs and 28 RBI at the plate. BENSON S BLASTS junior Emily Benson recorded one of the best individual offensive seasons in WWU history, batting.418 (61-for-146) with 12 home runs and 37 RBI set the WWU single-season record with a.548 on-base percentage and OPS (on-base + slugging) tied her own program record with 12 home runs and set the all-time WWU record with 31 home runs (9th in GNAC history) season totals in batting average (3rd), slugging percentage (2nd), on-base percentage (1st), games started (53, T6th), runs scored (44, T3rd), hits (61, 10th), total bases (107, 2nd) and walks (40, 2nd) all entered the WWU single-season record books reached base safely in 50 of 53 games (pair of 22-game streaks) and had at least one hit in 40 games. SELEVOLD S BIG SECOND HALF junior Makinlee Sellevold also had one of the top offensive seasons in program history batting.390 (67-for-172) with 23 extra-base hits (2B 13, 3B 2, HR 8) set WWU single-season records with 51 RBI and 108 total bases also entered WWU single-season top 10 in batting average (.390, 8th), slugging percentage (.628, 4th), at-bats (172, 5th), hits (67, 3rd), doubles (13, T6th) and extra-base hits (23, 2nd) had strong finish tot the season batting.425 (37-for-87) with 17 extra-base hits (7 HR) and 41 RBI over final 25 games.
