1 Safety Highlights As Caltrain prepares to embark on the San Mateo Bridges Replacement Project, perspective contractors received an orientation of the project in advance of the bidding process. In addition to being under escort and wearing the required personal protective gear, all personnel were provided railroad worker safety awareness training, along with an on-site safety briefing prior to being permitted onto the right of way. Following such protocols helps ensure events go as planned and underscores how safety will be a paramount expectation of Caltrain throughout the course of the project.
