If a occurred, it is categorized to represent a (typically) positive, negative or neutral impact on ridership. More details on the observed impacts are noted in the description of ridership results below. Local Overview Local Bus Monthly Total There were 4,655,321 boardings in July 2016 on local bus service. This is a decrease of 111,529 boardings (or 2 percent decrease) compared to July An unfavorable calendar mix of two fewer we and one more Saturday and Sunday relative to the previous year accounted for approximately 88 percent of the ridership loss. In addition, weather negatively impacted ridership on Tuesday, July 26, with over 2 inches of rain. Daily Ridership: Weekday / Saturday / Sunday Weekday ridership decreased by 4,087 boardings (or approximately 2 percent decrease) in July 2016 compared to Large ridership growth on Saturday (approximately 8 percent) and Sun (approximately 35 percent) continues the healthy trend observed post New Bus implementation. Light Rail Monthly Total There were 1,436,306 boardings on all three light rail lines in July This is an increase of 38,068 boardings (or 3 percent increase) over July The Green and Purple lines showed year over ye growth; Red line boardings decreased slightly by 12,124 boardings ( 1%). Daily Ridership: Weekday / Saturday / Sunday daily ridership on Weekday, Saturday, and Sunday all increased in 2016 compared to Weekday average daily ridership increased by 4,619 boardings (or 9 percent), Saturday average daily ridership increased by 348 boardings (or 1 percent), and Sunday average daily ridership increased by 1,842 (or 9 percent). Total Local Monthly Total Local network ridership decreased in 2016 compared to the previous year by 73,461 boardings (a decrease of 1 percent) due to the factors noted earlier. Daily Ridership: Weekday / Saturday / Sunday daily ridership increased on Weekday, Saturday, and Sunday on the local network. Saturday and Sunday ridership increased by 6% and 28%, respectively while weekday ridership increased by than 1 percent. The large Saturday and Sunday increases experienced in 2016 compared to 2015 result from increased service levels on the weekend in the New Bus, as well as other factor earlier. Commuter Overview Park & Ride Monthly Total There were 615,848 Park & Ride boardings in July 2016 compared to 737,898 boardings in July 2015, a decrease of 122,050 boardings (or a loss of 17 percent). The calendar mix impact of two fewer wee and the economy are the primary factors contributing to the year to year decrease. Daily Ridership: Weekday weekday ridership in July 2016 was 30,648 boardings, a decrease of 3,018 boardings compared to July 2015 (a 9 percent loss). Again, the continued economic downturn is a contributing factor loss in average weekday ridership relative to July Entire Summary Monthly Total Ridership on the entire fixed route network in July 2016 decreased by 3 percent compared to the previous year. Relevant factors were noted earlier and are included in the factors table above.

3 Daily Ridership: Weekday / Saturday / Sunday daily ridership for the entire fixed route network increased on Saturday and Sunday, with the weekend showing large gains due to increased service levels on local bus, the bus rail interface, and growth on the Red, Green, and Purple rail lines. Weekday ridership decreased by 1% year over year for the reasons noted earlier. Local : Local Bus Service Map
