The Ogden/Weber Convention and Visitors Bureau is excited to serve host to USA Cycling athletes and fans with an experience that goes beyond the expected through the community s natural beauty, stimulating culture, and love-at-first-sight appeal. You may not pick up someone else s packet for them. All riders must pick up their own packet in person. You must present your valid USA Cycling license or a photo ID at registration/packet pick-up. Important Note: What s the difference between Packet Pick-Up and Registration? Registration is when you sign up to do a race, and pay the entry fee. 13 TIME TRIAL NOTES The TT course is an out-and-back, and thus the centerline rule will be in effect for all portions of the course (including turns). Staging will take place 20 minutes prior to each start. Warm-up may be done on the causeway and on the road north of the parking lot, but please stay to the right and do not impede traffic. The course is closed 15 minutes prior to race start. Parking: Take the causeway across to Antelope Island. Parking is available at the gravel lot on your left as soon as you reach the island or paved parking in the marina parking lot immediately to your right when reaching the island. There will be neutral support provided at the start and there will be assistance along the course. ENVE neutral wheels will be available for use during the race. No team vehicles are allowed. Please be respectful to other park users when pre-riding the course prior to race day. Stay to the right and do not right more than one abreast. IMPORTANT: ANTELOPE ISLAND STATE PARK FEE We are excited to bring you one of the most amazing time trial venues in the state of Utah. The Antelope Island Team Time Trial course is a rolling course on beautiful asphalt with views of the Wasatch Mountain Range on the horizon. Antelope and bison roam the grasslands on either side of the road, giving it an old west feel. Antelope Island is a Utah State Park and they have a small usage fee for participants to access the course. The event fee is $5.00 Per TT event participant, which has been included in the registration fee for your convenience. Athletes and spectators will not have to pay race day access fees at packet pick-up or on race day. Any pre-riding prior to race day is done at the athlete s own risk and will be subject to an access fee to the park, to be paid at the booth at the park entrance. 13 Updated 9/3/2015

15 73k Course Elevation Profile 97k Course Elevation Profile ROAD RACE NOTES Please note: A portion of the road designated as the course is closed to traffic from the Ard Nord Trailhead up the final three miles to the finish. If you decide to preview this section of the course prior to race day, you do so at your own risk. Be warned there are barriers blocking the road at the Ard Nord Trailhead. Use extreme caution when descending the road at mile point 4.0 to 3.0 to the finish. The barriers at this location that will remain in place until event day. The start/finish line will be located on Old Snowbasin Rd. This will be a common start/finish. Staging for each race will take place 20 min prior to each start. The race will begin with a 5k neutral roll-out from the start line to the left turn onto Trappers Loop. There will be neutral support follow vehicles in each race. ENVE neutral wheels will be available for use during the race. The course loops around Pineview Reservoir will run clockwise. Parking: take Trappers Loop to Snowbasin Road and follow signs to main lodge. Parking is located in the main lodge parking lot. NO PARKING is allowed along the side of Snowbasin Road. Registration and food trucks will be located in the main lodge parking lot, on the side nearest to the start/finish line. The feed zone will be located on the East side of Pineview Reservoir, just outside of Huntsville. It is located at 18.9 mi, 34.0 mi and 49.0 mi along the course. See map for location. Feeders should feed from the right. There is no neutral feed. No team vehicles are allowed. Please respect local traffic and do not ride in packs around the reservoir when previewing the road race course. Roads are open to traffic at all times and riders should stay to the far right. 18 CRITERIUM MAP 1.6K DOWNTOWN OGDEN COURSE Online Map: Downtown Ogden, 349 E 2500 S, Ogden, UT CRITERIUM NOTES The Start/Finish line will be located near E 2500 S and Kiesel Ave. The course runs clockwise. Staging for each race will take place 20 min prior to each start. There will be neutral support provided in two fully staffed neutral wheel pits. One pit will be just before the finish line and the second will be on the corner of 26th and Washington Blvd. ENVE neutral wheels will be available for use during the race. Call-ups will be done for defending National Champions and National Champions moving up an age group. Free Lap Rule: Riders shall normally cover the distance of the race regardless of mishaps and must make up any distance lost on their own ability unless a free lap is granted for mishaps. A free lap may be granted for each mishap subject to the following rules unless the official race announcement states that no free laps will be allowed. Bicycle inspection and repairs must be made in an official repair pit. A rider who is granted a free lap must return to the race in the position held at the time of the mishap. A rider who was in a group shall return at the rear of the same group the next time around. A rider granted a free lap must re-enter the race before the final 8km of the race; after that point in the race a rider in the pit is losing ground on the field. 20 ANTI-DOPING ADDITIONAL RACE DETAILS UNITED STATES ANTI-DOPING AGENCY The United States Anti-Doping Agency is the independent anti-doping agency for the Olympic Movement in the United States. USADA is dedicated to eliminating doping in sport, preserving the well-being of sport, and ensuring the health of athletes through drug testing, research initiatives, and educational programs. AWARDS Wed-Fri award ceremonies will be held at Union Station Plaza (2501 Wall Ave.) at the end of each respective race day. Saturday ceremonies will be held Downtown Ogden, near the expo area. See event schedule for times. All podiums are awarded 5-deep. Best All-Around Rider and Best All-Around Team awards will be given on the last day at both awards ceremonies (final awards ceremony for BAT). The website for the BAR/BAT is the following: CALL-UPS Call-ups will be done for defending National Champions and National Champions moving up an age group, and only for Criterium races. SELECTION OF RIDERS FOR DOPING CONTROL By registering to compete at this event you have consented to be subject to drug testing and adhere to the penalties associated with an anti-doping rules violation. Noncompliance or refusing to be tested will result in the same penalties as a doping violation. It is the rider s responsibility to verify USADA selections for testing and report if chosen. For more detailed information concerning USADA protocol and banned substances, please visit the USADA website at OFFICIAL EVENT WEBSITE: HOSPITAL McKay-Dee Hospital 4401 Harrison Blvd Ogden, UT MEDICAL Intermountain McKay-Dee Sports Medicine will be providing medical support for all races. Ambulances will be on site at each course. NEUTRAL SUPPORT AZONIE Bicycle Event Support will be providing neutral technical support at all races throughout the event. ENVE neutral wheels will be available for use during all races. RESULTS Results will be posted near the finish line after each race. The protest period is 15 minutes after posting, after which time they become FINAL. Final results will be posted to the USA Cycling website. RADIOS Riders may not use radios, telephones, or other communication devices. No earpieces may be worn. Audio playback devices are forbidden. 21 RULES, REGULATIONS, & ELIGIBILITY The following is a brief overview of USA Cycling National Championship rules. For full details, please see: Individuals attempting to pre-ride the course prior to the event or any scheduled practice day may encounter hazards including incomplete course construction or obstructions. The course may also cross private property. Athletes pre-riding the course do so entirely at their own risk. LICENSE REQUIREMENTS 1. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST HAVE A CURRENT & VALID USA CYCLING LICENSE WITH THE PROPER CATEGORY AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION. Riders who attempt to register, but do not hold a current and valid USA Cycling license, will NOT be allowed to complete the registration process until they can provide a valid USA Cycling license number. In order to avoid this situation, please make sure that your USA Cycling profile is current and includes your USA Cycling license number. ELIGIBILITY 1. At the time of registration, all participants MUST meet the minimum required category for the respective event according to the 2015 USA Cycling Rule Book. Riders attempting to register for an event without having the required category will be removed from the registration list with no refund provided. 2. All participants MUST be either a U.S. citizen or permanent residents (green card). 3. All participants MUST have a racing age of 35 or over (including tandems). Riders with a racing age of 35 or over who hold Elite status per USA Cycling rules may NOT compete in the USA Cycling Masters Road National Championships. This includes riders who: Are, or have been, members of a UCI-registered team of any type (road, track, MTB) in the calendar year of the championship. Have competed in the Elite category of a UCI World Championship, Continental Championships or World Cup in the road discipline in All participants MUST race in the current age class as shown on their 2015 USA Cycling license. Riders MAY NOT race up or down in racing age class. RULES 1. BICYCLE REGULATIONS: In general, the regulations for bicycles are those of USA Cycling. Please refer to section 1I Bicycles, in the USA Cycling rulebook: The main points are: a. Bicycles may be no more than 2 meters long and 75 cm wide, except that tandems may be up to 3 meters long. b. Bicycle frames must be of double triangle construction. 21 Updated 9/3/2015

22 c. There may be no protective shield, fairing, or other device on any part of the bicycle, which has the effect of reducing air resistance except that spoke covers may be used. d. Wheels may be made with spokes or solid construction. e. The handlebar ends shall be solidly plugged. f. Handlebars with ends, features, or attachments that extend forward or upward or that provide support for other than the rider's hands are permitted only in time trial events. g. For Individual Time Trials: a. The weight of the bike shall be a minimum of 6.8 kilograms. b. Wheels must be of the same diameter between 550 and 700 cm. c. There will be no requirement that handlebars be below the saddle. d. There will not be strict enforcement of the 3/1 rule. e. There will not be strict enforcement of the UCI placement of the nose of the saddle, nor the handlebar/extension measurement. 2. INDIVIDUAL TIME TRIALS: Are open to ALL categories men s categories 1 5 and women s categories ROAD RACE RULES: For master men s age groups 35-54, riders MUST be Category-3 or higher. For master men s age groups 55 and above, there are no category requirements. For master women s age groups 35-44, riders MUST be Category-3 or higher.
