1 We are excited that you ve chosen to be a part of our program! The purpose of our All-Star Cheer program is to provide our athletes with an opportunity to shine through competitive cheerleading. We want all of our athletes to grow and learn life lessons such as leadership, teamwork, discipline and dedication while cheering their ways to championship titles and college scholarships. Xtreme Cheer and Dance All Stars is owned and operated by Ashley Meagher. Ashley has over 15 years of cheering experience and over 10 years of coaching All Star Cheer. The mission of Xtreme Cheer and Dance is to safely teach all our athletes with proper techniques and training to become the best cheerleaders, dancers and gymnasts in the nation with instruction by properly trained and certified instructors. While being an exemplary athlete is a main focus, we also work to teach life skills such as responsibility, teamwork, communication, and dedication. We seek to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our athletes to be individuals, while learning to come together and work as one to be successful. Our coaches will teach them skills that will stay with them their entire lives. Our mission is to teach our members how to always strive to be number one, but also learn to win with grace and humility. We here at Xtreme Cheer And Dance also emphasize the importance of helping the community and to always lend a helping hand to a team member in need. Our main goal at XCD is to be amongst the best All Star Cheer and Dance programs in the nation, with admirable attitudes and envied talents. Being a part of All Star Cheerleading will not be easy, and may not be the right fit for every family. We travel to compete often, which takes the dedication and sacrifice of your entire family. We have a full spring floor, tumble trak, stunt stand and other equipment for training on all your skills! What is XCD?: XCD is a competition based program. Our athletes practice 2-3 times per week and travel to 6-10 regional and national competitions to compete against other all-star teams in the same age/ability divisions. XCD will occasionally make community appearances such as the Atwater 4 th of July Parade and the Merced Fair. Who can be on XCD?: Everyone is welcome at XCD! We have teams for every age and ability level, so everyone has a spot! Whether you ve been a competitive athlete for 10 years, or are just starting out, we ll find a team for you! No experience necessary, you come here to learn the skills; we will teach you what you need to know! What does competitive cheer cost?: Competitive sports are expensive ventures. We understand that it takes a great deal of financial sacrifice to be involved in a program that travels and competes on a national level. We do everything possible at XCD to ensure a quality program for the lowest cost possible. When you compare our prices with like organizations, you will find that we are far less expensive. We charge a small monthly fee, and we spread our fees out throughout the year, instead of slamming you with huge monthly bills, before funds even need to be collected. XCD s fees are FAR below any local competitors, as we want to ensure that anyone who wants to belong can.

2 You will be given a statement for the following month, around the third week of the previous month. Bills are due on the first practice of the month and are late after the third practice. A $20 late fee will be assessed for all late payments. $50 Registration Fee due at first practice. This is only paid once a year. $69/$75/$79 (based on contract month signed) Tuition due monthly for any and all competition teams. This includes 2 2hour team practices a week, and a 1 hour tumbling class. Tuition is due at the first practice of each month. Members of the TINY (ages 5 and under) team are $59/$65/$69 per month based on contract month signed, with 2 1 hour team practices and a 1 hour tumbling class per week. Males are $20/$25/$30 per month based on when contract is signed. $20 Music Fee Due in July. This covers the cost of having our music professionally mixed. It is a ONE TIME per year fee. $475 Uniform Fee (returners $140/$50 tinys/$0.00 MALE, as long as they have uniform already) Half payment due in June, the other half in July. Includes top, skirt, briefs, shoes, warm up top, warm up bottom, bag, and a competition bow. Returning members will be getting new shoes, a comp bow and practice t shirt, as we are reusing the uniform one more year. They will NEED a new uniform if it has any rips, stains, tears or just looks in poor state as deemed by director. TINY and MALE uniforms are $300. Tiny will receive a top, skirt, briefs, bow and shoes. Males will receive top and pants. POSSIBLE SUMMER CAMP COST - $25-$50 per child this is still tentative and in the works NOT A GAURENTEED FEE AND NOT WORKED INTO 3 PAYMENT PLAN OR TOTAL PAY OFF! $55+ Regional competition fees - (beginning in approx. August and due monthly). We attend 5 regionals, estimated) these are due at the beginning of each month with your tuition. I will hand out a fee schedule with dates, locations and prices of the year s competitions around July, so you are able to plan ahead. TINY team to attend ½ the amount the older teams attend. $80-$140 Nationals competition fee We attend up to three of these per year, with the fees being due a month or so before we go. Travel and hotel are separate from this and are up to the parents to arrange. We suggest you stay in the same hotel as the staff, but it is not required. You MUST discuss with Coach if you are NOT staying in the same hotel. TINY team to attend one of these. FREE Open gym Every Saturday from 1-3, FREE FOR ALL TEAM MEMBERS!!! This is free time to work on any skills you d like. We will be offering a few different ways to pay your comp fees, uniform, music and registration fee for this season. You may sign up for 1 of 3 choices. 1. You can choose monthly payment, with everything at normal prices. This will be normal billing, with things due as listed above. 2. You may choose to split the year of costs (Uniform, comp fees, registration, music, less tuition(that s still due monthly)) into 3 payments of: $381 (New Female) $224 (New Tiny) $300 (New Male) $270 (Returning Female) $140 (Returning Tiny) $200 (Returning Male) In June, July and August, you would make these payment ALONG with tuition discounted 10%. 3. You may choose to pay the whole year at one time INCLUDING TUITION and receive a 15% discount off the tuition portion! PRICES PROVIDED UPON REQUEST OF THIS ONE! I know that at times, these costs can seem overwhelming, but fundraising is offered, and we here at XCD promise you that our prices are competitive and we ARE the most affordable All Star Cheerleading program around. 3 GYM RULES AND REGULATIONS 1. Competitions ARE MANDATORY! You cannot miss for ANY reason other than severe emergencies. Missing a competition will result in removal by director at their discretion. 2. No one allowed on the floor except team in session during their practice. If it is not your practice time, please sit quietly in the observation area. Side line chit chat is distracting to the other athletes and to the coaches. 3. Everyone must have a signed medical release form and have some sort of medical insurance on file. If you do NOT have medical insurance, please speak to one of the directors, and they can instruct you on how to obtain sports insurance. 4. Abusive language and behavior towards coaches/directors/other team members is strictly prohibited. This INCLUDES social media. 5. Vacations over the summer are excused as long as a 2 week notice is given to the coach/director. If you are in town please be at practice. Every team member will promote unity and good sportsmanship. 6. Practice through the school year is MANDATORY. If you are planning on being on other sports, please think carefully before you commit to Xtreme Cheer and Dance. Being on an All Star team requires a lot of time and dedication, and doing two sports usually doesn t work. If you have any questions about this rule, please speak with a director. 7. Team bonding events will be held throughout the year, and participation is strongly recommended. 8. Practice clothes MUST be worn to all practices, in teal, black or white. We have gear available to purchase throughout the year, and with the purchase of your uniform you will receive practice shorts and a bow. Hair must be pulled back in a high pony tail at ALL practices with BOW in place. 9. ALL TUITION FEES are due on the 1 st practice of each month and are late on the 3 rd practice of the month. A $20 late fee will be assessed if paid after the 3 rd practice and no arrangement was made between the directors and the parents. Team members with an unpaid balance will not be allowed to practice or compete until the balance is paid. 10. We accept cash, credit, check or money order. If a check is returned for non-sufficient funds, a $20 fee will be assessed to the team member s account, and checks will no longer be accepted for that account. 11. Although we understand that some parents enjoy watching the team s practice, we ask that if at all possible, practices be closed to commentary. If a parent MUST stay and wait at the gym for practice to be over, the staff at Xtreme Cheer and Dance asks that there be no commentary and/or direction from the stands. It is distracting to the athletes. 12. Negativity and/or poor sportsmanship in the stands during practice or competition are grounds for DISMISSAL from the team. Please support your team and others!! 13. NO CELL PHONE USE DURING PRACTICE. If you need to make a phone call for any reason, ie: ride changes, late practice, etc, you must ask your coach for permission. Practice time is not social time. 14. NO negative comments on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or any social media about any team member, coach, director or the program in general. This is a team sport and everyone needs to be a team player. Breaking this rule can result in immediate dismissal. This includes status, posts, pics or videos pertaining to drugs or alcohol. XCD is a substance free zone and it will result in dismissal at discretion of the director. ZERO tolerance for these types of offenses. 15. All-star cheer is a year round sport, and it is essential that all members that commit, stay. By signing below you agree to continue to pay your tuition for the remainder of the competition season, should you decide to quit early. This rule to be enforced at the director s discretion. 16. *You are signing a contract for the seasons (April 2014-April 2015.) If, for any reason, you must quit mid-season and break your contract with your team and XCD, you must continue to pay off your contract of the remaining months of tuition, pr $500, whichever is less. There are no refunds if you leave our program. We do this to cover the expense of finding someone to fulfill your responsibility to your team. *The directors and coach reserve the right to change and/or make additional rules throughout the year at their discretion. 4 ATTENDANCE 1. Athletes must be at practice. Period. Since routines and stunts absolutely require the presence of each team member, missing practices, being tardy, and/or leaving early from practices, events or competitions is not tolerated. Since attendance is so crucial, absences and tardiness will affect the athlete s placement on his/her team and in his/her routine. 2. You MUST still attend practice if you are sick. Athletes are often removed from routines and teams for failing to follow this rule. You will not be required to participate, however you must be present to see the changes made to your routine, hear announcements, and hear the coach s feedback even if you are not on the floor. Doctor s notes may be asked for at any time. 3. We have a strict attendance policy which requires athletes to submit a written request for missed practices. Each athlete is allowed 3 excused absences, and 2 unexcused absences. Upon the 3rd unexcused absence, that athlete will be removed from the routine for the next competition. We also allow a once a year vacation, to total 2 missed practices. You must submit in writing to XCD at least 2 weeks prior to the vacation. 4. Only absence requests submitted in writing will be accepted. With all the athletes in our gym, it is too hard to keep up with oral and ed requests. 5. Under no circumstances may an athlete miss practice the two weeks leading up to a competition. YOU WILL BE REMOVED FROM THAT COMPETITION IF YOU ARE ABSENT. 6. Extra practices are sometimes required before events, depending on the needs of the team. 1 week notice will be given should extra time be needed. Examples of excused absences (count toward the 3 allowed absences): Fever, vomiting, diarrhea (with a doctor s note), family weddings, funerals, births, college visitations/orientations, church functions, school functions that affect your letter grade, court mandated visitation with parents, family vacations if they do not interfere with major cheerleading activities (choreography, competitions, etc) Examples of unexcused absences (3 equal a missed competition): Birthday parties, school functions that do not affect your letter grade, practices/games/activities for other sports organizations, illnesses other than those listed above, family/friends in town, dental/ortho/doctor/hair/nail appointments, work-related absences, multiple tardies, or absences not requested in advance. I acknowledge and agree that I have no right, title or interest in the photos and agree that such photos are the exclusive property of XCD. I hereby release and discharge XCD from any and all claims and demands arising out of or in connection with the use of the photos, including any and all claims for invasion of privacy or right of publicity. I understand those activities to include, but not be limited to, cheer, dance, and gymnastics. I understand that these activities at varying times range from recreational to competitive. It is my intent to participate in the activities at the level being offered on this date. I am aware and fully understand that these activities are very dangerous. They involve the risk of damage, serious injury and death, both to me and to others. I understand that there are many potential causes for property damage, serious injury and death at Xtreme Cheer Dynamics All Stars including negligence of Xtreme Cheer Dynamics All Stars, its owners, employees, volunteer staff, rescue personnel, and equipment as well as my own negligence and the negligence of others. By signing below you are agreeing to pay the monthly tuition amount assigned to your account from April of the contract year, through April of the following year. Member may cancel this agreement only by written request, and by submitting a $500 fee for breaking the contract, or paying the remaining months of tuition left on the contract, whichever is smaller. Such request may be hand delivered or mailed to XCD at the address above. Xtreme Cheer Dynamics All Stars is not responsible for written cancellations or change requests if not received by certified mail. Oral requests for cancellations or changes are not considered valid and will not be accepted. You are responsible for verifying your account statement to ensure cancellations and correct billing. In addition, late fees will be assessed on membership accounts more than 15 days past due. Also, a returned item fee of $25 will be charged for returned checks, credit cards, and EFT debits. I, the buyer, understand that I am in full control of my payment and if at any time I discontinue my payment, I will do so by advising XCD in writing, per the terms stated above, a minimum of thirty (30) days prior to the 1st of the month. The member acknowledges that they have been told: (A) that this document is an Agreement and will become legally binding upon its acceptance by Xtreme Cheer Dynamics All Stars; (B) the terms and conditions of this Agreement; ( C) that they acknowledge that they have examined the facilities and that they accept them in the present condition, and the Member assumes any and all risk involved in the use of the facility and equipment; (D) There are no warranties either expressed or Implied which extend beyond this agreement. This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties; there are no collateral agreements, representations or guarantees, oral or otherwise, unless attached hereto. The undersigned member has read, understands, and agrees to be bound by the Xtreme Cheer Dynamics All Stars Rules as part of this agreement. The Rules and Regulations may be changed at any time by XCD, at its sole discretion. If any part of this Agreement is held invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of this Agreement will remain in full force and effect. You, the buyer, may cancel this Agreement at any time prior to midnight of the third business day, after the date of this Agreement, excluding Sundays and Holidays. To cancel this Agreement, mail or deliver a signed and dated notice that states you, the buyer, are canceling this Agreement, or words of similar effect. Such notice shall be sent to XCD at the above address. Xtreme Cheer Dynamics All Stars reserves the right to change monthly tuition at its sole discretion. Any member under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian co-sign and guarantee this Agreement. The cosigner, along with the Member, agrees to be bound by all terms and conditions of this agreement. Membership in Xtreme Cheer Dynamics All Stars is not based on usage.
